Duration on a Hat of Disguise?

Does the Hat of Disguise have a duration? It says it functions as the Change Self spell and the spells duration is 10 minutes/level.

That's what I thought too. But I'm not so sure. The wording is what gets me:

"This apparently normal hat allows the wearer to alter her appearance as with a change self spell."

Does that mean that it only lasts 30 minutes (10min/level x minimum 3rd level to cast a 2nd level spell)? And how many times per day can they use it? It doesn't list that it has charges.

You said that last time. So how many times per day does it get used? How many charges does it have? Unlimited? Do they get to cast it every 30 minutes and then change back, only to cast it again?

If its 2000 gps then its a continuous effect. Level one spell at first level of casting on a continuous item is 2000gps.
