I think (hope?) that an improvement to at least the output sheet might convince my players to adopt PCGen. Or not, but I can dream.
What, specifically, are you looking for? It may help our OS (output sheet) monkeys solve the problem.

I've tried it myself, but I don't have the time to learn the output tags (along with the lst tags, CC2, and actually planning my game).
I've only dabbled with OS myself, and it can get tricky.

I know you don't control CMP's schedule, but I can still comment, right? ;)
Absolutely. Just wanted to make sure folks knew that we didn't control their schedule

Actually, looking at the CMP PDF (csheet_dnd_CMP35.fo), it looks pretty good. May be a matter of an old gripe that's been resolved (which I'd be happy about). I'll have to run it by some people and see.

I do know that the major complaint I heard was that the skills were hard to read. Also, I know that there are a couple of times that I've seen characters have enough weapons to run off the sheet, but there's no way to order them to ensure the character's primary weapon stays on the front page.

That's a known issue, and I know the coders and output sheet folks have been trying to hash out a solution.

Thanks again!

Hi,

thanks for your new input. I will install the new PCgen release today. :)
I know that there are speed issues with Java, but on the other hand I also use Linux as a second OS on my pc and am glad that PCgen works on both OS.

I will eagerly await anyway what the successor of eTools will be like...
Until then PCgen will certainly do (especially after the speed increases people here report about.

Greetings,
Günther
