E1: Tomb of Chaos [Judge: Patlin] [Concluded]

OOC: Whoops! I hadn't remembered how badly you were hurt. sorry!
OOC: No problem, as long as you don't mind waiting an extra round so Nars can strike and get back out of the way. :) Too bad, er, I mean, good thing Nars is so loyal to the group, or he could just skip right out the back. :]

Seeing his blows barely scratching the King, and watching as the fiend tears into his friends, Gorefoot is no longer able to control himself. With a cry like a wild animal, he leaps at King Toth, biting, kicking, and swinging his greatsword in quick, powerful arcs, the muscles in his small arms bulging with the strain.

OOC: Gorefoot is now raging :). He'll also power attack for 5, so his combat profile should be +7 (+9 if he winds up flanking) to hit, 1d10+18 damage. His AC drops to 15, and he gains 4 rage hitpoints. Hopefully, he'll be a prime target for the King instead of Nars.

As a quick note, Gorefoot's favored enemy is Magical Beasts. I don't think the King is a Magical Beast, but FYI.

[Round 8 Cont]

Gorefoot rages and attacks, in his fury he slams his greatsword down on King Toth inflicting great injury (though less than a cold iron weapons would've).

Nars drops his weapon and draws his cold iron kukri then waits for Percy's plan to kick in.

[Round 9]

King Toth attacks Gorefoot, mauling the raging halfing, not that the ex-gnome notices though.

Percy casts invisibility on Nars.

Nars moves in and attacks inflicting a huge wound on King Toth. He looks like he is wavering now.

Ishmael heals Rodimus, bringing the half-orc back to consciousness.

Nezrak delays.

Wolf attacks but misses again.

[sblock]Damage Recap:
Rodimus 2/42 remaining
Nars 2/34 remaining
Ishmael 9/50 remaining
Gorefoot 40/59 remaining (incl. 5 rage hps)
Syl'r -2/37
Chaos 2/66

"Bring him down, Gorefoot!" shouts Percy above the din of battle. "A little purple fire might help too..." she continues in a lower voice.

OOC: cast another magic missile. This is a pretty good one. 17 to overcome spell resistance ; 10 dmg. dropped 2nd level spell slot for her MM. spell remaining: 5/0/1. I've been meaning to mention this, but by the time her wolf appears, I'm always onto the next action. Anyway, I envision that all of Percy's summoned creatures are purple or pink, and somewhat effeminent. Her riding dog is basically a huge pink poodle, complete with cute hair trimming and ribbons. Her fiendish wolf is purple and, though fierce, it has a pink bow around its head. :)

"Hey! Where'd he go? And where's his creepy priest go? Oh. This is too weird. I"ve got to figure out a spell to find things that disapear. Let's take our moment to heal up a bit. Ishmael, can you help Nars, Rodimus and yourself a little more?" Percy glances around, this way and that, holding her torch high.

If they can't find any sign of enemies, Percy will approach the sarcophogus on the dias.

Nars doesn't believe for a second that Toth has truly vanished. He goes on full defense, straining his eyes and ears for the slightest sight of him. When nothing appears, he moves over to Felhunter, still on the defensive and picks it up. He slowly convinces himself the beast is gone, "I, er, hope we didn't, ah, just unleash that on the, er, world. Any, er, sign of him, ah, Gorefoot?"

He finally begins to relax after receiving some healing, and notices Percy beginning to head to the dias. "Er, wait. Let me, ah, check first." He first checks over the corpse of Syl'r. Then he moves carefully over to the dias searching for traps. He keeps Felhunter drawn and sheathes the rest of his weapons.

OOC:
Healing rolls:
cure light (1d8+1=3)
cure light (1d8+1=8)
cure light (1d8+1=8)
Nars is at 21/24 hitpoints.
And where's his creepy priest go?
I believe Gorefoot killed him in round 3, post 771.

Gorefoot continues to swing at the area formerly containing the King for a few moments, sparks flying as his enchanted blade carves out small lines in the stone. Once his companions start to calm down and ask questions, Gorefoot's breathing begins to even out, his greatsword suddenly growing very heavy in his grasp. He plops unceremoniously onto the floor, one hand still holding his sword. When asked if he notices any sign of the King, Gorefoot can only muster up the energy to shake his head in the negative.
