E1: Tomb of Chaos [Judge: Patlin] [Concluded]

ooc: I was meaning to keep a list of important posts which included all XP and treasure rewards, but that is looking a little excessive. I'll drop an sblock into the first post with all the treasure and XP rewards (none given yet).

Damage Recap:
Rodimus: 17/34
Nars: 18/27

IcyCool and Xael are you still around?

"Nice. That's a start.", Nezrak says when Nars manages to open the chest and reveals nice amount of coinage.

OOC: Still around. Just suffering from every exam and other schoolwork being stuffed within this week and the next one. And 14 new games for Xbox and one for GameCube, which aren't really helping the former either. :heh: And I don't think Nezrak is going to be of much help with a bunch of traps.

OOC: ah yes it would be exam time wouldn't it. I know that things will slow to a crawl over the holiday period so I am hoping that we can keep up some pace to this one and plow through. But as always RL takes precedence. Regarding traps, maybe not, but there will be plenty of stuff for Nezrak to do on this adventure.

When Percy asks Ishmael about the load, the Halfling looks askance at the warpony. Courage tosses its mane haughtily.

"I am certain that mine equine friend would love to lighten the load for his companions" Ishmael smiles. "Didst someone say that they needed healing?"

He holsters Violet and places a hand on the new wand.

OOG: If anyone needs healing, just make the rolls and tell me how many charges you are using.

Nars smiles as he opens the chest and the inside glitters back at him. He is proud to have been able to work out such an intricate trap.
"Aye. Thankyou Ishmael." Ishmael taps Nars on his injured hand, taking all but the slightest twinge of the pain away.
healing Nars (1d8+1=8) (now at 26/27, 1 charge used)
"Now, er, about that, ah, dresser." Nars estimation of the traps in this tomb has increased dramatically. He will take 20 searching around the dresser.

Taking his time with the dresser, Nars is able to determine that none of it is trapped. All three drawers contain mostly clothing, a lot of it in disarray looking like they have been haphazardly tossed in and rummaged through. In the top drawer Nars finds a few gold coins tucked into the pocket of a jacket. Beyond that there is little of interest in the dresser.

Gorefoot keeps an alert eye out for gnolls, trusting that his companions will see that he gets his fair share.

OOC: Still here, Gorefoot is just the strong silent type, usually.

Percy

"Well done, Nars. I think we will be very glad to have a good dwarven adventurer with us on this quest. I think we've done all we can here. Let's head South and check out those rooms. Those big stone double doors may never have been penetrated by the gnolls. I'd like to clean this first area out before we go in there."

Nars' face turns red at Percy's praise. "Just, er, glad I can do, ah, something useful."
Nars leads the way to the south rooms, keeping to the shadows as before with his sword and chalk in hand. He stops to listen at any closed doors.

Heading south you pass through the big entry hall, it has been neatly cleaned of bodies, though blood stains still cover the floor. Giving the big stone doors a miss you head down the south corridor. There is a heavy looking stone door set into the wall on your left and a wooden one in the wall to your right. The walls maintain the same consistency down this corridor, a light sandstone hew chipped and flaking in places. Up ahead the corridor makes a sharp 90 degree turn to the right.
