E1: Tomb of Chaos [Judge: Patlin] [Concluded]

Nars will keep the necklace on his person for now, unless anyone objects (noted on character sheet).
He gives a smile and swift salute to Percy before moving back into the hallway and up to the door on his left. He peaks through the open door.

Peering into the next darkened room you can make out two rows of beds. Four of the beds look particularly messy, though it is clear that this room has not been cleaned in a very long time. It smells like wet dog, a distinct smell in and of itself. Moving into the room you can see that there are eight beds in the room, four along each side wall. Various bits of garbage, pieces of broken pottery, and gnawed human bones are scattered about the room. At the end of the room, opposite the door, a small wooden idol sits on a wall shelf. A crude rack by each bed would hold a battleaxe, and bow with a quiver of arrows.

OOG: Are you collecting all of the gear from all the dead gnolls? With all those weapons and armor poor Courage will be weighed down in no time.

OOG: I would suggest taking only the masterwork stuff and the bows (since they weigh only 2-3 lbs. and cost a lot). We can grab the rest of the loot on our way out.

ooc: for now then all the regular gear has been nicely stacked near the corpses by Rodimus' handy work. The masterwork axe, the fetish necklace, the bows, and any coin has been added to the party treasure affixed to Courage and the gold necklace has been pocketed by Nars for the moment. The books weigh a lot and I would suggest dropping them with the other regular gear until you are ready to leave (unless you are placing more value on them than I am assuming). Sound like a plan for now?

Nars scans the room and, not seeing any chests or likely traps, mutters, "Bedroom," back to his companions. He leaves them to explore that room further and moves on to the north door at the end of the hall to see what can be seen without opening the door any farther.

Percy

Percy pinches her nose as she briefly enters the gnolls bedroom. Trusting Nars's judgement, she turns and leaves, following the dwarf, assuming Gorefoot comes with. In general, Percy will stay close behind Gorefoot, holding the torch so they both can see. Percy agrees to dump the books with the mundane gear near the entrance.

Nars, Percy, and Gorefoot move down the hallway to investigate the room at the end. Nars peers through the open door and sees another barracks much like the other one, with two rows of unkempt beds and a grime-covered floor. There is a dented, three drawer wooder dresser against the far wall and a chest nearby.

Meanwhile the others finish loading up Courage and Rodimus has finished stacking all of the equipment neatly. Will any one be investigating the rooms on either side of the hallway further? or joining Nars and the others at the one up at the end of the hall?

Ishmael and Courage remain in the room with the crates, unless called for. They will keep watch, Ishmael will his dark-piercing eyes and Courage with his keen nose.
