E1: Tomb of Chaos [Judge: Patlin] [Concluded]

Nars will examine the trap and give an opinion on whether they can bypass it safely now that they know where it is.

Nars will be happy to stay behind since he is the slowest member of the group.

Nars can take two minutes to disarm it safely or it can be skirted as it appears that there is room to move around it sticking close to the wall.

"Absolutely. If you need me, I'll be here. I've unearthed another book that might be of interest to you. It appears to be some sort of lexicon. I think I know what many of these ancient heirogphyics mean now." replies the Librarian.

"If you can disarm it, Nars, please do so. I can't think of any benefit to us of having anyone worship Toth Nekamek."

Once gathered outside the room, Percy asks everyone their opinion. "If this guy can read heirogphyics, it might be worthwhile taking him around with us. We've seen quite a bit of that strange writing, and it would be nice to know what it all meant. But I think now is when we should send a party back to Orussus. We already have found more than we can carry. We're simply going to have to return at least once for a wagon before we can empty this place out. For one, I don't think we should all go, either. I don't want to leave this place unguarded. There are six of us. Nars is the slowest, so maybe he should stay. I'd rather go back to Orussus, actually. This stuff may not matter to you guys, but I'd like a hot bath. I'd like Fondar to stay with me. Anyone else have a preference or a better idea?"

Nars sets about carefully difusing the trap. "Bring back, ah, some more of those, er, fire flasks. And, ah, maybe some acid. These, er, swarms of biting, ah, things bother me."

Percy nods to Nars. "We should definitely pick up some of that excelent acid."

She pulls him aside a moment later to share some quiet words with the dwarf. [sblock]"Nars, I don't know that I really trust Rodimus or this silent elf. Are you comfortable staying here with them on your own? If you prefer, Gorefoot or I will stay with you and send one of them back to Orussus with Ishmael."[/sblock]

Nars murmurs back to Percy:
[SBLOCK]Maybe Rodimus, er, should go with you. He is, ah, strong and can, er, help carry a lot. Gorefoot and, ah, Nezrak could stay, er, with me.[/SBLOCK]

There are only three people in this big dangerous world that Percy trusts with her life. Those are Sir Ishmael, Gorefoot and Nars Blackbeard. She hates to see them split up, but in this case, it seems like the best plan. "Gorefoot, I want you to stay here with Nars and Nezrak. We'll be back as soon as we can. We will leave at dawn, after we have regained our spells."

"There are basically three questions. What shall we take to Orussus? What shall we bring back? And where are you three going to stay while we're gone? We will want to take the lightest, most valuable items we have found. We do not want to be slowed down. We will bring back some fresh provisions, an everburning torch, and some alchemical fire for these swarms of gross icky things."

Percy rode her horse, Guenevere. Gwenny escaped from some dire wolves in their last adventure, & Percy hopes she is still alive out there eating grass when they exit. If not, Percy will have to walk.

Gorefoot looks like he wants to argue when Percy tells him to stay put, but he nods his head at her request. "We'll be alright here." Gorefoot helps them load up whatever artifacts they wish to take. When out of earshot, he says, "I still have those crystal rods, but weren't we going to do something with those in that room with the skeleton horse?"
