Sliding the top off of the shrine reveals a number of compartments. Inside are two alabaster cups, a corroded ceremonial dagger, and a tiny bone crocodile figurine with a circular base one inch in diameter. A small word is inscribed in the base of the figurine that probably matches one of the rods.

"Haha, the lizard!" Nars cries as he sees the crocodile. After examining it for a moment to make sure it is safe, he lifts it out and holds it up. He'll try to figure out which of the remaining rods it attaches to. "Should we, er, go check out the, ah, singing statue?"

Nars will lead the way back to the room with the skeletons. He moves cautiously, not trusting anything in this place any longer.

Assuming he makes it:
On the north wall under the mural of the horse, it reads "Raad Faras" and under the king next to him it reads, "Toth Nekamek, His Royal Majest, Whose Foot-falls Are Like Thunder". Most of the wall is covered in the mural and there is no more writing. On the east wall there is simply the statue of the horse-headed god. No writing actually adorns this wall. Again when Nezrak approaches the statue a bird call can be heard to eminate from the statue's mouth, the sound that of an ibis.

Nars moves over to the statue and examines it more closely. He tries to find a safe way to climb up to the statues mouth thinking If there's a bird call coming from its mouth then maybe there's a bird up there.

"Oh, good idea, Nars! You are so clever." Percy gleems. "Rodimus, can you help pick up Nars? Or maybe you can stand on Courage."

She figures they'll pack up the cups and dagger when they leave. She'll pick up the little crocodile figure & try to match the inscription to one of the cartoushes related to the rods.

The group moves back to the horse room to see if they can find the last figurine. As Nars moves towards the horse statue he hears the ibis call again. As he searches the statue (incl. climbing up to the mouth) he discovers that the lower jaw is hinged, though there is no indication of a latch. Taking his time with it Nars is able to determine that the hinge is trapped with a magical trap that he doesn't think he will be able to disarm.

Percy stands back looking for clues in the 8-foot tall granite statue. The horse-headed god stands with arms out-stretched, holding an age-brittled, white horse hide. The statue is flanked by two extinguished braziers and numberous small offering plates and jars, their contents decayed and unidentifiable.

(ooc: the second part is just the original description reiterated for you.)

"Do you think we should light the braziers? Perhaps we are supposed to make an offering. A bird perhaps." Percy reaches up to stroke Fridley. "not you of course, sweety."

Each of the offering plates looks to be empty and given the amount of time that has passed there really isnt any indication of what the sacrifices might have been.
