E1: Tomb of Chaos [Judge: Patlin] [Concluded]

[Round 2, Con't]

Ishmael attacks where King Toth was but is unable to find any invisible foe.

Nars takes a step back and prepares for an attack.

Percy, able to reach Rodimus from where she is, casts mage armor on him.

Gorefoot hears noise, this time to his right. He lashes out to his right and is rewarded when his greatsword strikes something hard. A whispered curse and a groan can be heard.

Rodimus hears the whispered curse from next to Gorefoot. He can still move if he wants.

[sblock=ooc]Yay map. King Toth is no where to be seen. Syl'r is somewhere near Gorefoot, invisible. The globe of 'shadowy illumination' still covers most of the centre of the room including all heroes. For Rodimus and Gorefoot and Nars, you can hear movement (and the curse) in the square to the southwest of Gorefoot.

Damage Recap:
Rodimus 18/42 remaining.
Syl'r 11/37
Chaos 59/66

Not seeing much point to try and land a precise blow, Gorefoot swings his greatsword in a two-handed, powerful horizontal swing through the square he hears movement in.

OOC: Power attack for -3 to hit, +6 to damage.

Rodimus moves around to where he thinks he heard the noise, nicely surrounding the area if something tries to get through.

[Round 3]

Nezrak has no target around him so he chooses to wait should one present itself.

Nars is surprised to find Syl'r appear beside him, battle axe whisling past his ear. The priest's cloak has fallen from his head and his ugly gray face reveals that he has no eyes. Nars notices as Syl'r slips the ring on his finger into his pocket and the darkness encapsulating them all falls.

As the darkness falls Nars sees that King Toth had been hiding quite successfully in between the columns just a few feet away. The king steps forward and claws him twice under his defences, but it's bite fails to hit. The bite, however, proves unneccesary as the dwarf falls under the onslaught.

[sblock=ooc]Nezrak can respond to the appearance of enemies. Because they were either invisible or successfully hiding, he is not able to stop the assault on Nars.

Nars -2/34 remaining
Syl'r 11/37
Chaos 59/66

Percy is seized with fear and rage as she sees her dear friend fall. "Help!" she shouts, as she steps back NE 5 feet, and becons with her fingers to an unseen ally. She's never cast this spell before, but it comes unbidden to her mind, summoning a guard to stand over Nars' fallen body.

OOC: Cast Summon Monster II. Celestial Riding Dog to appear over Nars. Takes a full round to cast.

Spell count: base: 6/7/5 Now: 5/3/4

Ishmael readies his shield and replaces Nars in blocking the path to Percy. With Violet, he swings at the King.

OOG: Using dodge vs. King Toth
