Progressing further down the tight corridor, Rodimus finds that it twists and turns a few times before coming to a split. The tunnel continues both left and right, though to the right he can see a dark red stain on the ground. Rodimus is about 15ft. back from the split (at the bend) and the rest are a good 10-15 ft. behind him (Percy's light is back around the previous bend).

Ridik follows, staying silent as much as he can but to his surpirse, what is harder, it is not to move without his feet doing a sound, but his mouth telling something...

Nars moves forward with the group, eyes alert for trouble and scanning the walls, floor, and ceiling to make sure there are no traps intended to spring after the party passes and trap them inside.

Moving up to the split, Rodimus looks first north, spotting a sharp turn only a dozen feet ahead. To the south the cave progresses down a tight corridor before turning a little to the left. The sound of dripping water can be heard in the distant and there is a fair amount of moisture in the air. The red on the floor turns out to be a mostly eaten carcass of some animal. It has largely been devoured, leaving only blood and a few bones and other bits.

The half-orc wonders why the creature had decided to devour its prey near the entrance of its nest, but concludes that the beast's impatience for violence is similar to his.
He waits a moment so that he can point out which direction he is choosing to the rest of the group, and then heads in the direction where the carcass is.
