E2: The Secret of Gemhold [Patlin Judging]

"Thank you." Percy tells the Pixie with a smile. Despite the dangers ahead, Percy is nothing less than thrilled to have the cute littel fey on her side. "Could you see if the gap in the wall to the North was baracaded? What seemed the best way for us to get inside?

"I think Nezrak and I should stay with the warriors."
she tells the group in the morning. "That way we can get our spells cast on you before right before we go in."

"A 'barghast?' Is that what that strange king was we met in those caverns? I hope not. He was gross. Oh well. I think that means we need to focus our attacks on him. He may have resistance to normal weapons, so only attack him with magic. Right?"

Percy lacks Nezrak's buffing spells. She will cast mage armor on herself and Rodimus right before she casts invisbility on Rodimus and Nars. Depending on the level of resistance, she may turn herself invisible before she charges in.

"They had two groups of goblins and a couple of hobgoblins just inside the hole in the wall. I think they know it would be a weakness to their defense." replies the pixie.

"Bar-gest stronger than giants?"
Rodimus was really starting to like the situation, despite the distractions that had invaded their camp last night.

"Hmm. I think, unless they, er, have barricades, Rodimus and I, er, can get past them."

OOC:
Nars stats for the battle:
HP: 43, AC: 20 (22 vs evil), Attacks: Felhunter +9 (1d6+3+3d6 sneak attack) or Felhunter and shield +7/+6 (1d6+1, 1d3+1 +3d6 sneak attack)
Spells active: Protection from evil, invisibility

Once Nars is turned invisible, Nars will head for the breach in the wall moving silently at full speed (+7 including penalty). Once inside, he will glance around for an out of the way hiding place, like the area between the west wall and the ruined keep. He'll blow his signal whistle and then head for the out of the way place to see how the battle unfolds.

OoC: Changed stats for the battle

Large size (space 10ft; Reach 10ft)
AC 20, Touch 16, Flat-footed 17; +2 Deflection vs. evil
(+4 Armor, +3 Dex, +1 Natural, -1 Size, +3 Monk)
Reflex +8; Resistance bonus on all saves increases by +1 vs. evil
Unarmed +8 (2d6+7 magic bludgeoning) or +7/+7 (2d6+5) with Flurry of Blows

"It's only about 120 feet from the safety and concealment of the cliff wall to the gap in the wall. Perhaps you don't really need me to turn you invisible for that dash. Instead, I could position myself in the trees and shoot a fireball into the gap to clear it out for you when you rush? That's probably a better plan." suggests Percy.

"But Nars, you're not a charge and attack kind of dwarf. Would you like to go in first invisible using another route?"

"Er, yeah. I could, ah, sneak in the gate and around. I'll, ah, stay out of the way of your, ah, fireball. Once the, er, battle is joined and they, ah, don't expect it. I'll come from the back to help, er, clear the entrance."

OOC: Before this combat, as we have rested for teh night, I wnated to know if I could spend 2 DM credits and put Ridik at level 5. I think some level 3 (and more HP) would greatly help Ridik and the team.
