OOC: Wow, I just realized I totally forgot to reply to this thread. Sorry! Let's go with Nars getting Ridik's buffs instead of invisibility because I'm frankly not sure what Nars will be able to do even if he sneaks into the fortress undetected. He'll try to work his way around the outside of the battle to get flanking chances. He's also capable of AC 34 against the hill giants with combat expertise, fighting defensively, and his dwarven bonus.

[Pre-battle Prep]

With the goblins successfully cowed into a possible seige at least for now, the group is able to arrange their lines, move trees up slowly through out the night and cast spells as they prep for battle.

[Surprise Round]

Percy will lead the round with spells, she stands with the Treants and animated trees with the archers.

Nars, Gorefoot, Rodimus and Ridik will lead the thorns and are stationed near the cliff to the north ready to charge down to the gap and in. Nezrak stands with them casting buffs and ready to launch his own fireball into the breach.

ooc: okay so lets get this on. This post is to say that pre prep is done lets move on to Surprise Round. Please include ooc comments with relevant combat stats for your attacks as well as spells that affect you. Slagmortar's last post is a perfect example. Also any time you can post your own rolls from Invisible Castle the better.

Percy has been eyeing the goblin defensive setup. Does she see goblins in or near the Northern gap? If so, when she sees Rodimus charging towards the gap, she unleashes a fireball.

If she doesn't see a group of enemies there, she'll aim a fireball towards any other enemy group she sees. If she doesn't see a group, then I'll need more info to know what she does.

She will have already cast mage armor on herself.

Percy's stats:
AC 16 w/mage armor
Spells remaining: 6/7/6/4
HPs: 45

Fireball damage #1:6d6=20 Ref save DC 18
 

Nezrak moves in behind the more melee-oriented members, with his bow ready.

ooc: apologies to all and thank you for not mutinying yet. I've been remiss in my duties but RL is incredibly busy now that I'm back to school on top of full time job and family. I'll try to keep a minimum of 1/week but if that is not acceptable to everyone please let me know. Also note that with a big battle like this I'll be running this a little off the cuff rather than trying to control 230+ NPCs.

[Surprise Round]

Percy sees enemies milling about and fireballs the gap to allow the runners entry. Light and flame flash as green skinned goblins run screaming blackened by the blast. Many fall behind the gap in the wall.

Rodimus charges with Gorefoot in tow. The thorns keep pace with the front runners.
Ridik follows
Nars keeps pace
Nezrak stays just behind Ridik and Nars.

The elves in the moving trees launch arrows at the goblins on top of the walls. Several hit, though several more bounce off of the worn crenelations. About half a dozen goblins tumble off the wall or fall where they are.

The treants direct their animated trees forward, providing cover for the elves and Percy for now.

The petals flit in with the pixie who casts a quick spell at one of the larger goblinoids on the wall who smacks his neighbour upside the head with a halberd, cleaving the little gobber's melon right open.

Percy kills 30 goblin warriors and 2 goblin bosses. boyah!
Rodimus, Gorefoot, and the Thorns reach the breach and can move in next round. It is rough terrain.
Ridik, Nars, and Nezrak are about halfway there maybe a bit back. They can reach the breach with a double move next round.
The treants and trees are still 80' from the wall.
The pixie and the petals are south of the breach and starting to cause much confusion :) Killing one goblin.
The elves maintain their artillery position with Percy.

OOC: I can't think of any other place Percy should be than in this thread, so I'm not so much bothered by the slow pace.

IC: Percy will move out and trot forward after the living trees, mostly concentrating on not being hit by arrows. They only move at 10' per round. She feels this will be a long battle, so she's in no hurry to use all her spells. She will dash forward faster if there aren't enough goblin archers to target her. Once she gets within 40 feet of the walls, she can start using grease or summon monster. Of course, what she'd really like to do is fireball the giants.
