E6 Gestalts and Prestige classes

First Post
I love E6 but the prestige class problem bugs me, I'm not completely happy with the feat chains. So I came up with this feat instead:

Gestalt [General]

You may gestalt in one class.
Prerequisite

Level 6

Benefit

You may choose one class to begin gestalting in. You begin at level 1 in that class, advancing one level per 5,000 experience points. Any base abilities gained in the new class do not stack with your original abilities (A 6th level cleric who gestalts into fighter does not gain a +1 BAB until 5th level.) You may also choose to gestalt into any prestige class for which you qualify.

Special

You can gain the Gestalt feat multiple times, each time applying it to a new class.

Note that you no longer gain feats for every 5,000 exp while advancing in a second class.

Classes that grant +1 caster level instead grant additional spell slots. The first +1 grants a bonus 0 and 1st level spell, the second +1 grants a bonus 2nd level spell, and the third +1 grants a bonus 3rd level spell. After this the process begins anew.
