D&D General Ear Loops for crowded store gaming advice?

I have found at my games store/café, multiple background noises can mess a with my hearing and occasionally with my concentration. Multiple tables are close by, and I play on a busy Friday evening. I am completely new to the idea of Ear Loops and wonder if I might glean some advice off users with similar experiences to my own.

Q. What would be the type of ear-loop that I should be going for? (if any).

Ps. This would not be for concerts, or for sleeping. Just busy and close gaming near my own.

Many Thanks.

I recently got some Loop Quiet 2 ear plugs to take to the UK Games Expo and I was very happy with them. On the whole they did a good job of reducing the total volume of the event especially in the trade halls whilst being less isolating than my normal heavy duty ear plugs.

For the RPG sessions they were slightly more mixed. When the room was at its loudest on the Friday night I used them in both ears but found it difficult to latch on to some of the quieter cross table talk. The compromise was to use one in my worst ear and take the other out. Not ideal but it allowed me to get through the event without feeling that I had been standing next to a jet engine all weekend.

There's a local game convention I go to yearly that is held in a rather small area (50' X 50' at best). The noise factor would give me headaches, so I bought a can of Construction Work style disposable earplugs, and they worked nicely. Could still hear the game I was at, but the general volume in the room stopped giving me trouble.
