D&D (2024) Early access to 2024 books in DnDBeyond is tied to subscription tier.

I'd says that equivalent to the Pizza Party. It's something nice to do to appease the masses. To show that they still (lol) care about the FLGS.

It's very nice of them and I plan to take advantage of it. Be nice if I got a free gold dragon mini and dice as well but he digital v physical, i get it.
So not evil.

I think if more folks were just, "You're right about the particulars, but personally I really care or think it matters all that much", you'd have fewer arguments.

OK. If this is evil then does the fact the FLGS get to sell the book two weeks in advance evil too?
does the FLGS now being able to sell them ahead of time take something away their customers had before? No? ok, great

Does the change on the DDB side take something away from (some) people that they had when preordering there before? Yes? not so great…

If you cannot tell how the two scenarios are different, then I don’t know what to tell you…

You can preorder it on Amazon and your buddy who ordered it at the FLGS gets it early.

That sounds like the same thing.

You still have the items you got in the past, correct? Then nothing has been taken away.
a preorder perk that came with past preorders is no longer included in this preorder, is anything about that part not clear to you?

I don't think no longer providing something they never needed to provide is taking anything away
then we simply disagree on that

But this is just going round and round. We just disagree
seems we agree on that ;)

unless you expect that to happen a lot sooner than expected, you will not have to worry about that… there won’t even be humans around any more at that time, one way or the other (extinction / evolution)
Really? I wasn't aware. Otherwise my post could have been construed to be sarcastic.

I have no idea how that is the same thing or how this relates to the two cases in my post, so I guess as I said, I am not sure what to tell you now ;)

All I can say is that I never got it in advance from Amazon so that I still do not do so is not a change there, while no longer doing so on the DDB side is
