Easy DIY Gaming Table (no woodworking)

A 12" x 12" structure of 1" x 1" studs with a 1/4" plywood sheet glued on each side, and frame by a 3" x 1/2" border is the sturdiest and lightest I can think of.
Sorry, I'm not following? Also, I don't have any woodworking tools or a shop to work in (or the skills), so part of my goal is to have a build that doesn't require much more than a screwdriver and a wrench.

Okay, I'll leave to your Soliloquy.
I welcome your thoughts and advice on the table I'm actually building! I made a deliberate choice to build it out of t-slot extruded aluminum (so I can hang accessories from the sides), to a 4'x6' size, with legs, with a built-in gaming mat, and without woodworking. Your table is wooden, a different size, doesn't have legs, doesn't have accessory rails, appears to be painted (no mat), and involves woodworking. It's a completely different approach that deserves a thread of its own.

That is not my table. It’s a picture to show the internal structure. Carry on.
