I'm beginning to think that people have no love for 3.5 anymore.

Old dinosaurs like myself just can't get hip to this new 4th edition nonsense.

What about guys like me who like both? I like the customization of third, but I also like the more 'compact' system of fourth edition too.

I think s@s is more reflecting on his state as the last of his species. Old Dinosaur refers to his last stand as a breed and the subsequent feeling of prevailing loneliness that accompanies such a distinction.

But maybe I'm reading into it more than I should be.

Coincidentally I do too. I was gifted the 4E corebooks and they've been collecting dust ever since.
