For those who are considering buying and using this setting...

What area of the ones that have been described so far would you mostl likely start things off from?

Also...if you are gonna try and play in this setting...what kind of character would you most likely play?

Just wondering...

Every so often there is an Eberron thread on this board. Usually that thread races up over a thousand views pretty quickly.

I am curious where the actual numbers stand for EN World readers on this setting. Personally I am all in favor of it as are the people I talk to, but polls are fun to review.
I plan to run Living Eberron for the RPGA, it looks like it will be great fun!

Haven't decided yet. Probably just the default Sarlona region to start with.

Heh. I've got a few ideas:

* Kalashtar Wilder
* Warforged Monk (w/ adamantine feat)
* Halfling Necromancer
* Half-Elf Cleric or Sorcerer

Looking forward to it...

I for one am looking forward to the setting. Throughout the years, TSR first and then Wizards put out the settings that are closest to my heart (FR, Planescape, Birthright, Dark Sun) -- this makes me curious about Eberron. I want another setting to get excited over.

I have glanced at the early images/teasers and am refraining from forming an opinion until I get my hands on the setting. I am surprised at some of the negative talk going on here. The setting is not even released yet and so many negative opinions based on... conjecture? That's sort of thinking is like going to a 5-star restaurant (Chez Wizards is a premier place, no?), being seated, looking over the menu and declaring the food is no good. ;) Hey - try ordering first! As for me, I'll dine first before I decide if I need to talk to the chef (urp!)...

I'll give it a look, but I can't say I'm all eagerly anticipating it. If anything, it can be a source for ideas ...

Ditto that. I'm piqued, but I'm not going to be first in line at my FLGS for it. Vee schall see.
