D&D 5E EB's Storm King's Thunder - IC

"M'Name is Halruhk, Squire of Cormyr." said the big half-orc. "An' I've been following 'em. They've done their raiding about, and I've been keepin' an eye on 'em. Now, I dunno about you, but I'm not too keen on gettin' bashed by a giant. I mean, I'll fight 'em if I have to, but I'm not sure it's a good idea."

He sounded unsure, as if he really did want to fight them, but was trying hard to be sensible.

Wilhelm looks at the half-orc suspiciously, his hand once more on his backpack to make sure his tome remained where he last put it.

"Then why are you following giants if you don't plan on fighting them?" the simply dressed man with an oversized leather armor asks skeptically. "So you can take whatever's left?"

Fareon harumphed and Wolf, sensing his master's feelings, growled at the newcomer. "I do not like splitting another way, especially with some orc-in-a-can from Core-Meer. The wild halfling sneered "He already professes his cowardice. What good could he be save for a distraction clashing about in his metal?"

OOC: Welcome Fitz! :)

Searinox pulls himself on his feet. Still Holding the side of his head, a small trickle of Blood running from his hand. He walks up to the pair of Giant feet sticking from out the rubble. After a quick look over, a poke with his Rapier and a gag reflex because of the smell he turns around to the newcommer.

"Looks like you have one Giant less to worry about." sheathing his Rapier he makes way to the group "We came here looking for treasure, so we are prepaired for a scrap."
The last line... might be more confincing if he wasn't bleeding from the head

Having only just introduced himself and having his honour questioned not once, but twice, Halruhk could feel his orcish blood rise in fury. But his knighthood training kept him in check. He said, "You have me wrong, friends. I've been tracking 'em so I'd make the proper reports to the proper people. An' I'm no coward," he added with a hint of anger, "I'm jus' wise enough to know that I shouldn't try fightin' giants on my own. It seems your dirty halfling can't tell the difference."

He had tried to keep his cool, but he lost it a little at the end.

“Don’t get your panties in a bunch,” Buddy said to the half orc. “Why don’t we go on and see what else is in the cave. Then we can run screaming when the giants try to eat us.”

"Fine. I'll go with ya an' show you what kind of 'coward' I am. But keep yer dog on a tether." he grumbled, "An' the wolf, too."

OOC: Apparently Halruhk and Fareon are going to be good friends!

”Fair enough,” Wilhelm nods, satisfied. ”And my apologies for my skepticism, lord squire. Too many stories of good folk being betrayed by seemingly goodhearted strangers. My name is Wilhelm.”

He holds out a hand, hoping the half-orc will take it in greeting.

Cheering up, the knight-in-training grasped Wilhelm's hand firmly and shook vigorously. "Ah, it's okay. I get a bit hot-headed sometimes. You'd just finished fightin' and still had yer spirits up. I get that."
