Echoes of Empire IC

Arask pays the 2 silvers grudgingly and walks into the Inn. She walks over to Garas. "So... one sends mail from you?" She takes note of those in the Inn. Any Skaven around?

"Yes! We, the clerics of Garas, have trained pigeons to send messages from Way Station to Way Station. Here also you can arrange for other travellers to bring your mail to places not serviced by Way Stations!"

He seems terribly optimistic about what might be the dullest job imaginable.

As for other Skaven, you see five, beyond your party, in the inn's common area. Two very ratty looking specimens clad in rags with many piercings and raised burns and scars in their fur sitting in the middle of one table eating some sort of fruit pie, two more females wearing padded robes, with many rings and bits of jewelry on their hands, and a fifth, black-furred, sitting alone enjoying a large mug of frothing liquid.

edit: two very ratty looking...skaven? No ****! Sigh...

"Water's free, my good sir. Stew is but a copper."

He passes you a shabby clay bowl, and motions to the ladle currently in the large cauldron hanging over the fire.

"Water might be free, but how much isss clean cup?" Krasslik asks after examining his flagon.

The bartender frowns quickly, then flings a bar rag at you.

"The price of your time, good sir. And remember that this is certainly not your Inn. You stay by the good graces of myself and the Road Wardens, though I hear the ground is nice outside."

"Come come Krasslik, no need to insult this bartender with his fine food and drinks!"

Endor waits for Blue J to leave the fortuneteller and steps up to him himself.

"What can ye tell about me future Sir?"

Alustarimm looks at his meagre funds ans laughs, he has had less, and more.Proudly did he raise the five hundred gold to repay the kindness Deshanar did him in freeing him. And he has also eaten naught but nuts and squirrels for a week, hungry and lean in the wilds without coin.
Alu hands over the 2 Silvers, as well, he pays the 3CP inside for the mug, sipping the Stout and thanks the Innkeep for the free cheese and bread.
Alustarimm watches the 5 that the Merchant had described, though he seems to be lost in thought, staring at his Ale to anyone observing him.

"So cleric of Garas... any interesting messages of late? There wouldn't be any mail for an Arask, would there?"

Arask eyes the female skaven carefully.

Hmm.... no public messages right now, except for a travel warning for the Ruination, but we get one of those every couple of weeks... Arask, Arask... resident of? Hmm... Arask... Arask.... we have an Arast of Hammerhome, but that doesn't sound much like you... umm.... looks like nothing, unfortunately."
