Fields of Blood is worth picking up.

Dire Bare definitely needs to get the Buffy RPG, in whatever (legal!) format he chooses. The book rocks.

"George" from Eden is actually always like that (at least on the internet), and is why I am generally loathe to buy Eden products.

(And heck, I have a fairly high tolerance, continuing to buy Pinnacle stuff after getting thrown off their mailing list)
You don't have to put his name in quotes. He's really George.

For people who don't like DRM, as far as I know all the companies selling at DTRPG also offer their print versions. And previously, except for Malhavoc, they weren't offering PDFs at all (and Malhavoc is still offering print versions).

RPGNow still exists and sells loads of quality products as they have been doing for years, with no DRM there.

In general, the anger directed at a company (DTRPG) which has for the most part extended availability of RPG products stuns me.

George, Fields of Blood is a product I'd really like to pick up. I'll just drive by...
This is untrue. Guardians of Order hosted out of print items on RPGnow, Eden hosted, I believe, one item regarding All Flesh on RPGnow (although I could be mistaken about that.

This method of PDFing was to get additional sales to the peple who

a. cant find our stuff thru normal distribution
b. a way for out of print product to still get to the fans.
c. to offer "cheaper" versions of our print products to fans who dont want to spend full retail
d. to make us some extra money

As with all aspects of our buisness (game design and publishing) we cannot make everyone happy.

The problem is that, well, you could. You could do all four of those goals without DRM. Indeed, you would likely get out to MORE fans and offer the product for even cheaper without DRM - so why did you do it? If removing the DRM is the only thing that prevents you from "making everyone happy" then why do you do it?

Anyways - now we are at the boycott phase. Ive accepted that. Not much I can do about that now.

Unfortunately, this is the absolute opposite. There is one quick and easy step - one which is better for your bottom line - one which will make everyone happy that could end the boycott.

Why haven't you done so?

If you are thinking about Eden products and have the slightest interest in Buffy/Angel I can't recomend those books enough. These are top quality books and once I got a game going even my non Buffy friends are having fun with it. The system is simple and easy to learn, it works fast but allows for complexity if theat is what you want. Its great for Role Playing or Hack and Slash, and it can do that at the same time. Its this game that has currently pulled me away from d20, and that is not an easy feat to accomplish.

My wife, who HATES role-playing and only plays in my game because she thinks she's obligating to since I designed the world that we're playing in, bought the Buffy RPG and a couple of supplemental products through Amazon and intends to start a game. She's, well, let's just say she's toward the far end of the 18-34 demographic and my d20 game was her first experience with role-playing. She's had fun reading through the books and has gotten a couple of non-RPG friends interested in playing.

She really wants one book that seems to be OOP on Amazon (they never sent it to her). I forget which one, but I remember seeing it on the DTRPG site as an e-book. I'd buy it for her in a skinny minute except for one thing: we don't have internet access at home on our crappy laptop, which only has Acrobat 5. I'm used to just burning things on CD-ROM for us to use at home.

Yes we placed 1 PDF-exclusive item on RPGnow 6-8 months ago to test the demand for PDFs.

It is now no longer on RPGnow - its on DTRPG.com

Im sorry to say but we do not sell toamazon.com anymore due to them oweing us a serious amount of money (here is something for alll you boycotters - stop buying from amazon.com since they dont pay publishers! - heh) - so Im sorry to say that ordering the Buffy/Angel or any Eden Studios RPG from them will cause you dismay.

Check our website for retailers in your area or order from our website direct. You could also check ebay if you do not want to full price.

If we remove the DRM, but keep the prices the same will that make you buy the PDFs?

Will any of you naysayers buy them or are you all just saying you will but wont speak with your wallet?

Hello George,

The price does not bother me what so ever, I am willing to pay it for easy to use Pdf's. Especially since you have always delivered top notch products. The only problem I have is Drm, not price.

Question anyway since the site is not loading to well for me. Do I need a credit card or can I use a money order?
