Egyptian RPG?

Note the various settings done by WotC/TSR that are egypt like:

e.g.
Empire of Nithia, set in the Mystara/Hollow World

Necropolis by Necromancer Games is an adventure with the bare bones for an Egypt setting.

Also, FR10: Old Empires
A 2nd Ed Forgotten Realms sourcebook by Scott Bennie (author of Testament), dealing with FR's quasi-Egyptian and quasi-Babylonian regions (Unther, Mulhorand, etc).

The Nithian Empire is, I concur, also a good resource.

I'm part of the creative team on exactly this--an Egyptian setting that doesn't claim to be, or try to exactly match, historical Egypt. It's a D&D setting, not a historical game. Intensive research went into it, so most of it is culturally accurate, but where gameplay and history differed, we chose gameplay.

I'm not allowed to name the company who's publishing it, but it's a recognizable name in the D20 industry. And the developer/head writer on the game is C. A. Suleiman, writer of Vampire's "Cairo by Night" and current developer of the Mummy: The Resurrection line.

More--including release dates--when I have the info and am permitted to share it.

My homebrew has a few deities loosely based on the Egyptian pantheon, specifically Anubis. I imagine there will be some goodies along those lines?

Being a fan of my own homebrew, I'm definitely most interested in cherry-picking, but Egypt has a lot of bits that I'd love to pull out of a well-thought out, well-researched d20 setting/sourcebook. Please, definitely let us know more when you can.

Also, where would we find information (on these boards) about such a product when the time is right? I want to make sure I'm looking in the right place.

There will, of course, be information on the gods. Wouldn't be Egypt without 'em. :)

And I'll make certain the info is easily found when it becomes available, never fear. There are a few upcoming projects I'm on that I'm excited enough about to shout it from the rooftops when I have solid information to reveal. Shadow Branch is one; this setting is very definitely another.

Thanks for all the suggestions so far... keep them comming if you have more!

And Mouse... Get permission to post details fast or I pelt you with snowballs (Darn blizzard) until you do. :D

I checked e-bay for GURPS: Egypt, and didn't find it... Doh :(

I knew about Necropolis, but I assumed it was just a mega-adventure like ToEE... Is there much setting info?

existing d20

Forgotten Realms
The FR god book
Thay is an offshoot of the transplanted Egyptians so anything Thay as well.

Green Ronin's Testament covers Egypt, as well as the rest of the Biblical Middle East.

Avalanche Press has War in Heliopolis, very weak classes and statwise gods but some neat campaign seed ideas.

Bastion Press has Egyptian Gods, a pdf on 20th level Egyptian avatars, will be updated to 3.5 in an upcoming hardcover with other pantheons as well.

SSS has Necropolis by Gary Gygax megaadventure and sourcebook (lots of gods and monsters).

Mummies appear in a number of places:
Ravenloft Campaign setting and PH have templates for 3.0 and 3.5 (the PH is the only 3.5 one I know)
Relics and Rituals has a mummy template
Librum of Garudok has one
Gaming Frontiers has two mummies I wrote (see the template preview in my sig)
Book of Templates Deluxe has a mummy template as well

Prior editions, most of which are available as $5 pdfs, include:
Nithia a hollow world Egyptian setting.
I forget the adventure that was set there.
Forgotten Empires a FR geographic sourcebook on transplanted Egyptian and Mesopotamian cultures.
Many of the FR thay products.
The Ravenloft adventure Touch of Death
The 1e desert of desolation series of modules.

Probably some others.
