Elemental Tempests and Shocking Flame

Drakhar

First Post
I have myself an interesting question and I was wondering what you all would think. The Elemental Tempest PP for Genasi allows to you to manifest two Elements at the same time, and Shocking Flame allows you to deal additional damage when manifesting Stormsoul or Firesoul. My question is this, if you do manifest both, do you gain the bonus damage twice? Like instead of gaining +2 Fire or Lightning would you gain +2 Fire and +2 Lightning, or perhaps it would simply be +2 Fire Lightning, thus requiring dual resistances to resist.

I'd say there is no stacking going on, just multiple conditions being met, and you would indeed get both. I'd also say that feels a bit too powerful... but at the same time, many enemies around the paragon and epic levels will be having resistances that mitigate regularly taking small amounts of energy damage.

Without looking too closely at the abilities in question, I would rule that it's +2 fire+lightning, requiring dual resists and triggering more vulnerabilities.

can anyone tell me if the tempests ability to manifest 2 manifestations stack with the feat double manifestation. would it let you manifest 2 or 3?

Major necro here but you get both bonuses, netting you a total bonus of +4. This is because it is adding untyped elemental damage, rather than a feat bonus like Astral Fire. Nobody cares anymore, but I thought this should be answered.
