Funny thing is, to me at least, he doesn't even realize the thread is not actually deleted. Rather, the thread's creator put him on ignore and so the thread is hidden from him now.

Even if the thread had been deleted, the OP would not have "won." Being the worst-behaved person in the room is hardly winning.
