[EN Pub] The Fantastic Science -- 24-page teaser!

A whiles back I mentioned my disgruntlement in regards to the now removed $20 minimum order at the E. N. World PDF Shop, and that it would take something 'pretty darned special' to interest me in making a purchase through them.

This product sounds like the right direction to go! You may want to make it available on your own PDF shop before offering it through either RPGNow or Drivethru.

No, please do not do that. I want to buy the POD version.

Thanks for the vote of confidence!

I don't actually have much say in this, although, DMH, I do know that the book will be available PoD at RPGNow sooner or later - I want one too. (And sooner's better for me as well, of course.) :) I'll send an e-mail to RangerWickett if he doesn't comment soon and get him to tell us what ENP's plans are. The whole thing is kinda complicated, as I understand it, what with the fact that this will be ENP's first book actually published through the ENGS (as compared to simply carried over from other sites). I don't know to what degree they're seeing Fantastic Science as some kind of promotional-strategy guinea pig. :uhoh:

We're still trying to decide on exactly what to do, to be as fair as possible. Right now I'm in favor of just putting TFS on sale a day early at the EN GameStore.

Hmm, I thought RW was going to post here. Well, I'll tell you what he told me - the book's taking longer in layout than anticipated. I'm supposed to now say that it'll be done when it gets done, but rest assured I've been pestering RW on and off for the last several weeks about it. You know, for purely altruistic reasons relating to my desire to treat my (potential) readers right. :p

It'll be done soon, I hope. Just turns out that a 291-page Word document takes a while to lay out if you want to do it right - heavy bookmarking and a hyperlinked ToC, last I checked.

If you can/are willing to answer, where does the magic come from? Is it an assumption of different physics, a magical material(s), spellcasters or something else?
