Yeah, Rel was right to start this thread. It doesn't get said often enough, but EN World is a real phenomenon in the D&D world. It has been a force which has helped shape, in its own way, some of the perception of the game and the thinking of designers.

So, yes, a big thank you to Russell and all the mods (who take a lot of flak, from time to time, for no personal reward). But also a thank you to the great many regulars who by their posts and courtesy make this the best place for D&D discussions on the Web!

Hip, hip, hurrah!

I absolutely agree with all the niceness being directed to all concerned! My only criticism is that this is such a warm fuzzy place that I get next to nothing else done at all besides hanging out here.

Hong: Ever have a Treant get sappy on you? I hear it's... unpleasant.

I’ve only been using these boards for a brief time but I’ve thoroughly enjoyed them since my arrival on the shores of this distant land...

Thank you

I would like to thank Eric for creating this site, Morrus for taking it over and making it work, and the moderators for keeping these message boards friendly. (I have started a thread in Meta, "Medals of Valor" thanking the moderators for how they handled some of the more controversial threads of late.)

The people who post here also should be thanked. I am very impressed with the intelligence of this community, as well as its compassion. (The later being demonstrated with the loss Balsamic Dragon suffered in her family and how we remembered Chairman Kaga.)

So, thanks again to everyone who makes EN World a success.

Thank you

I came about EN World by a very strange way. I never really looked up d&d stuff on the net because most of it wasn't to my liking or it was about computer games. I was not playing d&d much anymore after my group starting using skills&powers and such.
Then 3e came out. I was excited again and actually got into being a DM more full time.
I had a strange dream about flinds one night. I woke up and went straight to the computer to see if there was any info on them for 3e. The search engines first choice was Eric Noah's (I was scared when he said he was burnt out).
I didn't start coming to the message boards until months later because I was exploring everything else with his site.
And I didn't register and start posting here until after d20 CoC came out.

I want to thank Eric, Morrus, Erica, Scott, and the rest of the mods. I go to ENWorld daily if I can get away with it. And also want to thank the whole EN World community. With all the great ideas that come about, I wish I could play d&d everyday just to use them all.

Peace and smiles :)

Since no one's mentioned them specifically, the mods that were mods before some of us are now mods have always been fantastic. Hi, Ashtal! Hi, Mark!

Thank you, folks. You make me very happy. :D

I love this place, too. But when you run into someone who's being a jerk (as I just did), it can ruin your whole morning if you let it. Letting us know that you're happy here is the best way to turn that around.
