EN World Appreciation Thread

ENWorld has been my fix in a city where there is a dearth of gamers. It's inspired me to actually attempt publication...and has provided many a diversion late at night.

Thanks a bunch

Wow... all embarrassed now. Thanks, guys! Knowing that people like the site makes it all worthwhile!

And I agree - the mods (past and present) are wonderful people.

I'd like to thank the EN Boards for fostering a total sense of community.

I've been playing RPGs for 20 years.
In all that time, I have never found a place, on-line or otherwise, that makes new people feel welcome. It's downright neighborly. ;)

Last year, I posted to the boards for the first time. Last week, I had Pirate Cat and Dave Lozzi over my house for a game! I've had great games with Kid Cthullhu, Doc Nuncheon, Dr. Midnight and a lot of other EN Boarders. It's been wonderful, thank you.

And I can't leave out all my "electronic friends". So many people have posted to answer my questions and provide feedback, it's almost overwhelming. I've seen some mediocre posting boards, and I've seen some terrible ones. This one is neither. This one is great.

Thank you.

In addition to Morrus (for running the darn thing and putting up with all its ups and downs), Eric Noah (for laying the ground work for the current site), all the moderators for doing what is otherwise thankless work.... I would also like to add two other groups of people to this list -- for without whom, this site would not and could not be what it is...

-> the community supports (whether they have that title for their resource, time, or financial (however large or small) contributions)

And, to a much lesser extent than the aforementioned people/groups (since this only applies to the forums rather than the site as a whole) - to everyone who does more than lurk here... without the thoughts and shared knowledge, the boards would be pretty darn empty :) True, this site is more than just threads (such as reviews, news, etc) the forums are a part of it too.

(Again, the addition of these two groups should not in any way minimize the thanks to Morrus and the Mods - these are just two "in addition to..." :) )

(Had been meaning to say this for a while but could never find this thread after I saw it the first time :) )
