Why a need to draw a line through the community and trumpet which generally well known members are on either one side or the other? What is it you hope to accomplish? Do you recognize any downside to this effort?

On "drawing a line through the community": People (especially Americans) are always interested in what celebrities do. Is it stupid? Yes. Do celebrities still sell products in this manner? Yes. Do I think some of the ENW community are interested in what some of the more prolific/prominent members of this website are doing? Yes.

On "what I hope to accomplish": Nothing.

On "downside of this effort": Upsetting people that don't realize this is a simple, fun exercise in curiosity.

I am certainly NOT an iconic even though I have been around a dogs age and done many reviews (and a few articles for D20 weekly back in the day)

I am not going 4e if anyone is curious. It reminds me very much of the parts I disliked in 1e for some reason -- worse its now all about THE ADVENTURE and KEWL POWERS and has not even a pretense to being a world.

I might borrow some fluff and a few tweaks but thats about it.

I'll likely play my homebrew or True 20 (or Savage Worlds or GURPS)

I'm not upset honestly - I'd prefer to get less attention than I do. When everything is working techs tend to be forgotten. Unfortunately, not a lot works these days :(

Michael, you certainly should be on the list. 3e or 4e, sir?

Hey, at least it's still going. Considering the load these forums get and how massive they have to be it's doing good under the circumstances.

I'm disappointed. I thought I was far too cool and aloof to be merely iconic.

I've looked at 4e, and on balance I think I don't like it. This is also disappointing, as I was all for it 6 months ago. I haven't played it, though. I'm playing 3.5e and Traveller 20 at the moment. That's not likely to change.

I can wait another 8 years, when the pendulum will swing back toward the middle. I have no doubt that 5e will be absolutely stellar.
