I have found ENWorld to be possibly the friendliest messageboard I have ever been on (and that includes the 'private' message board a friend of mine hosts just for our close circle of friends!).

I feel that some people are just messing around with your poll saying they find it extremely venomous/pretentious.

Those few who have found it cliqueish would probably be reading more into hong's posts than is really warrented

I love this place--it's full of great guys and gals who share a common love--and at the same time have enough different opinions on stuff to keep it very interesting.

The moderators are the reason why this place is great--any nastiness gets whacked out of existence faster than you can say +12 banhammer. Of course I don't think all that many people get banned...it's just fun to steal words from nutkinland.

This place is my online home; i get to talk gaming, one of my passions; and get to laugh with hundreds of other people; and hell, even help people with completely unrelated problems, and maybe even get help with some of my problems someday.

However, I think we need to have more respect for different opinions. For example, different gaming styles are not necessarily wrong. However, the role-player versus roll player arguments get a bit heated.

I think if there are flaws in the boards, it mostly lies with ourselves.

I agree with you as always William. I also get tired of FR bashing! Other than that the site is cool as it always has been.

A'koss - I, too, looked up from the depths of RGFD to Eric Noah's Site way back when, and at once the scales fell from my eyes, and, lo, the shackles of flame and loathing fell from my wrists, and the white light shone upon me.

I've been here and at Monte Cook's site ever since.
