En World

First Post
I never knew what the E and N of EN world stand for?

I know it's not Eric Noah or 3e news fame? So what is it?

Electronic News World?

I'll check back for an answer.

Thanks

As long as we are asking questions about things, did Anonymous (the person who was sending out 3rd edition D&D previews before it was released) ever make him/her self publicly known? And if so who is it?

Brief History lesson:

Morrus originally started this site to house the development of the Campaign World known as Daemonforge. Daemonforge was (and IS, it is an excellent resource that is still being developed on these very boards) a fan-created project, born from the very message board community that Eric Noah started.

Therefore, it was ENWorld - the world created by Eric Noah's Messageboards.

Since then, the Great and Beneficent Morrus :D took over the site from Eric after Eric needed much-deserved personal time. Out of both a measure of respect and name recognition, the site is still named EN World.

BTW, if you are relatively new to the boards, welcome! :)

Any questions?

Henry are you sure?

I was kidding about the Eric Noah World thing. I thought that Erics site existed independantly from this one, until Eric got tired.

Ofcourse I never really went into the boards back in pre-3e release time. I remember something about the Daemonforge setting, and this site was also d20reviews.org or something like that too.

So this site is in honor of Eric Noah's Boards that were used to create Daemonforge?

neat.
