EN Worlders at Pax East

We will be there! I am preping some non D&D games (Happy Birthday Robot!, Savage Worlds Space:1889, Icons, possibly another) to play and I have 3 panels I want to attend. (Including yours PC!) When I am in the RPG area, finding me is easy... look for (probibly) the only 6 month pregnant woman in the bunch! :)
Space 1889, when?. I played Ren's scenario at Gen Con. I was going to write some of my own but got distracted by running Deadlands reloaded.

Me! Me! Do you know where you will be?
You got it! Email me, please, at kevin dot kulp at gmail, and we'll sort out details.

I think I may have one more free slot if anyone is interested. Right now it's Barsoomcore, HandofMystra, Rodrigo Istandilir, jydog1, and creamsteak.

Edit: with FustyWumpus, we're now full!

I'll be in the "Edition War" panel as well:

D&D Edition Wars
Merman Theatre
Friday, 2:00pm - 3:00pm

Join Dungeons and Dragons experts Zeb Cook and Mike Mearls as they analyze and discuss the different editions’ gameplay innovation, Role Play integration, pros, cons and their general fav...orite aspects of the game. All things D&D will be fair game as they try to determine which edition is the ultimate D&D experience. Moderated by Alex Macris, Publisher of The Escapist.

Panelists include: Alexander Macris [Publisher, The Escapist], Zeb Cook [D&D 1st & 2nd Edition Designer], Ed Stark [Former Lead Designer, Wizards of the Coast]

I have a panel I would like to see Friday and Saturday and I want to play in Barsoomcore's Dino pirates game, but other than that... I am pretty open.

I am trying to see: Piratecat and Barsoomcore's panel Friday night, the Geek parenting panel on Saturday.

Do you have a time that works for you?

Piratecat. Princesskeyblade I decided to not go. My son, who is now 15, used to go to cons and play D&D with me. We were going to go together and he would play Magic while I did RPGs. He decided that the Magic scene at Pax East was not interesting enough (he is trying to be as hardcore as possible about magic and goes to tournaments). It was also a relief when I realized that the whole trip would have to be financed by credit cards until my tax return comes :-)

We're holding a panel! Show up or we'll cry. Honest.

The Rat Bastard's Guide to a Long Campaign

Come see a panel full of game designers talk about rat bastardy tricks, keeping your players involved, and DMing tips for long-term plotting. Most D&D campaigns runs for a year. These panel members have games that average over 12 years, with low player turnover and huge player participation. How come? Panelists include Dorian "Sagiro" Hart (designer on System Shock, Thief, and Bioshock amongst others), Corey "Barsoomcore" Reid (author of "DINO-PIRATES OF NINJA ISLAND"), Chris Perkins (D&D Creative Manager at Wizards of the Coast) and Kevin "Piratecat" Kulp (Lead Designer of at Talkie, and author of adventures such as "Of Sound Mind".) Moderated by Julian "Rabbit" Murdoch of "Gamers With Jobs."
Hey Kev,
Any chance you can record this for later distribution? If you need help on audio editing I know this guy... ;) I would really like to hear what you all have to say, but traveling to Boston is just not in the cards.

It won't be professional quality, but I'll set my iphone on "record." It should be audible. If the panel is anything like the prep call with Chris Perkins, Sagiro and Barsoomcore, it should be great fun.

Handofmystra, we'll miss you! That may open up another target loyal clone troubleshooter in Paranoia, if anyone wants to play.

Sweet. Send me the raw audio once you have it and I'll take in 'Das Studio' and try to clean it up and make it sound like it was professionally recorded. ;)

I had to miss the Long Campaign panel for a client event last night, but Mark Jessup said it was moved to Sunday to avoid conflicting with an MTG panel.

Piratecat, do you have the new details?

Nope, Mark was mistaken; we went off right on time. And holy cow! Almost 400 people, with maybe another hundred there wasn't room for.

For folks who attended, how did you like it?
