Ends Meat (Boddynock Judging)

Perkiss's rapier darts out and sinks into Reis's arm forceing the half-elf back.

"Not so old now, eh?" Perkiss exalts. "Do you know what he'll do to my animals, glue most likely I'll not let that happen even if I have to kill to ensure it does not!"

[sblock=Hit 18, 5 Damage] Perkiss skewers reis for 5 points of damage.1d20+5=18, 1d6=5 [/sblock]

[sblock=Grapple and Disarm]Are much easier if you have the Improved Grapple or Improved Disarm feats, these give a +4 bonus and allow you to take the actions without provoking an attack of opportunity. For what its worth since you did not take an action Sarn you may now try to grapple and unless Perkiss has the combat reflexes feat he will not be able to try to attack you as you do so.[/sblock]

Reis blanches and withdraws, managing to sheath his rapier with his good arm and again draw his dagger. He uses the distance to addresses Perkiss; his voice is somewhat unsteady, but his anger overpowers it.

"Don't be a fool, man! You've proved you can use that thing, now give it up! Next time I attack, it won't be to disarm."

He reaches the wall and leans against it gratefully, using the respite to recover his breath. He begins to speak more rationally, trying to persuade Perkiss.

"Just think for a minute! If you insist on fighting, you'll die or we will. What do you think will happen to your animals if you're dead, zookeeper? And even if it's us, what do you think the merchants will do? It won't be hard to find out what happened, and I don't think they'll take kindly to you keeping animals that dangerous, Perkiss. Either way, you lose. Give it up now and maybe we can work something out!"

Reis winces again as the initial numbness begins to wear off and stuffs a cloth under his shirt sleeve to try to stop the flow of blood that's turning his shirt sleeve red.

[sblock=ooc]I'm not sure exactly what number of actions I'm allowed (and what makes up an action), so if either moving back or switching my rapier for the dagger is not allowed, just ignore it. [/sblock]

[sblock=Voda Vosa] I was waiting to see your rolls Voda, I usually prefer to let players do their own rolling if you don't mind. I can roll if like, but I'd prefer you to do so.[/sblock]

Midias steps forward and shuts one of the double doors. However Perkiss is barring the other.

As the Druid chants, Ciprinius's snake Carpio slithers forward and snaps at Perkiss, but long years of working with animals have apparently paid of for the old man and he easily avoids the serpents strike.

[sblock=Voda Vosa]Snake on Perkiss (1d20+4=13, 1d4-1=0) Is Carpio a small or a Medium Viper? You can choose either, I used the medium since it has a better attack.[/sblock]

[sblock=Errandir] You get a move action and a standard action, so your disarm completes your movement and you are still next to Perkiss. You can also take five feet of movement if you did not otherwise move - called a five foot step. Generally if you are next to a foe or within two squares of a large foe or a foe with a reach weapon any movement out of a square they threaten (those they can reach to attack) provokes an attack of opportunity. Five foot steps never provoke. So you could choose to step back five feet pull your dagger and throw it next round. Or to attack five foot back and then draw your dagger, etc.[/sblock]

[sblock=garyh] Okay I will need a touch attack followed by a grapple check please Sir! Actually a very good tactic if you can pull it off, go team not me![/sblock]

Sarn manages to grab Perkiss, but the old man is able to shrug of the powerful grip as Sarn stumbles. He then lashes out at the Orc with his rapier and slashes a bloody line across his thigh.

Outside the baboons swarm forward hooting and hollering with abandon.

Perkiss moves over to and unlocks a large cabinet, which now contains a few potions, cleary it could hold hundreds more.

OOC: A reminder, just in case! Of course you don't know what they are, but... The large cabinet mentioned ison the wall above the chest btw. Oh and A is for animal companion.

[sblock=Hit 19, 6 Damage, OOC] He barely fends Sarn off, nat 1s are n auto fails on grapple checks, so it was a 5 vs a 7! Gra check vs Sarn (1d20+1=7) vs Sarn (1d20+5, 1d6=[14, 5], [6]) [/sblock]
