English to Hindi (Devanagari) Translation

Hey all,

I'm currently trying to put something together, and am finding myself in need of translations from english to hindi of a small phrase, and a single word. I'm coming up short and figured I'd turn to you guys (or girls) since it seems we have some very knowledgable people on enworld. If you guys know of any websites that are cheap for translations (read less than $75 as I'm a poor college student), or if anyone can possibly translate English into the Devanagari script themselves.

I'm trying to translate the phrase: All men must die
and the word: faith

I need them in separate sections.. thanks if anyone can lend a hand..(sigh..)

If anyone out there has ever had something translated from english to hindi and still have the translator's number or e-mail please let me know.. I can't find much of anything online except for a few translator bidding sites and they seem to have minimum's much higher than what I think a 5 word translation would be worth..

Why don't you go on some messageboards, forums, chat, etc., where Indian regularly exchange viewpoints? Since almost all Indians speak English (at least those on the Internet do), it would be easy to find one who would agree to help you with that.

Give it a shot. It does have some vocabularies, although much of it is for travellers. A place to start though.

I work with lots of people from India (being in the I.T. field, and all).


All men must die -

There is kind of a context here. My friend was wanting to know what the phrase meant, exactly. She wanted to know if it meant all men specifically, or just all people. I assume all people. Then she wanted to know if it was a prediction, like I'm gonna flood the world, and I announce to the world, "all men must die!" because I'm a tyrannical dictator, or if I'm a philosopher, and I announce through studied meditation, "all men must die", meaning we are mortal, and we will eventually all perish. Apparently, the phrase is somewhat different, as shown below:

sabhi insaan marenge - roughly translates into "all people are mortal, and will die eventually"

sabhi insaan marne wale hain
"all people are gonna die" - more of a prediction

I didn't know he needed that. I could have my friend write it, but they'd have to do so into something like paintbrush freehand. Why does it have to be in script?

Do his players *read* Indian? Just make up some crap, and pronounce like I provided.

Hi. I've got a homebrew that's very inspired by ancient Indian cultures, and I've found this site very helpful in coming up with hindi-"inspired" names for things in my campaign...even if it doesn't answer your current question, it may come in helpful at some point down the road...

Hmmm how often have I had that same thought... and how often have I decided against it because it wouldn't be right... Kinda funny: here we are, playing this game of make belief and (at least for me personaly that is) I want to make sure I say things right... ;-)

I'm currently playing a bard of Celtic Origin (actualy from the Moonshea, from Kingsbay in Gwyneth) and I often wish I could speak a celtic language, just to add some more depth. (Well, I'm playing the bard with a pretty decent Irish accent and offcourse my DM will make fun of it. Seems like every NPC I meet has a problem understanding my common )
