Now, now, Nightfall... That's a very subjective position. While I thought the Hollowfaust cover was nice, I liked Lord of the Iron Fortress much more.... Doesn't mean one's better than the other, though.

(They also convey different things, so how they can compete evenly is beyond me....)

I liked Hollowfaust's cover much better than any of its competition. Best Cover means just that - and besides best artwork, I feel it also means which cover best conveys what is inside the product. So in that respect, I think everything can, indeed, compete evenly. For example, I had a softspot for Bluffside's cover; it seemed to really evoke what the city was like.

If it's any consolation the Best Cover category was a fairly close race. And the best part about being a judge is we didn't have to pick 1 best, we got to pick 5 best.
