ENnies - Why should I go

Time to hang out with friends, hear some funny moments during the acceptance speeches, that sort of thing. I like to see people happy when they win, regardless of if it was a product I voted for or not.

Between the D&D Dancers, the ENimals (a raucous improv comedy troupe), and cameo appearances by Vin Deisel, Jessica Alba, and William Shatner, can you really afford to miss the ENnies?

I've found it to be pretty painless. Piratecat and the rest of the ENnies crew should be commended for keeping it a VERY fast-paced award show. I've never felt bored while there, and I always see or hear something at least moderately interesting.

If I was trying to convince someone to go, I'd usually say it's a chance to hob nob with the elite of the RPG world. But honestly? I go because I like to support the people who put the work into it.

AND it's a good time.

So I was envisioning sitting there for an hour or so and listening to presenters and acceptance speeches. How do you socialize if your just watching a presentation?

Because your sitting at a table with people. You talk to each other. Plus the awards are pretty fast paced. I didn't feel bored at all.
