Enterprise 10-02-02

I keep wanting the enterprise to take someone on and kick them in the teeth ... then I realize that's the kirk & crew nostalgia surfacing :)

I'd like to see what T'pol has to say on the subject ..."Rom-you-lan, it's pronounced Rom-you-lan"

Didn't Archer say that if she ever held back information again he'd "space" her...?

Perhaps one of the most BORING!!!!!!!!!!!! episodes of ST ever made.....Somebody needs to stop Berman(sp?) and Braga before they completely destroy the the Star Trek mythos...

This season has started out REAL BAD!!!

Could someone explain why they had to use the stupid "let's try to shield ourselves from an explosion the size of the one that blew out several decks only using the force of our own muscles and these shuttle hatches" idea instead of using transporters? I know they don't use the transporters as casually as in the other series, but they sure haven't seemed *that* reluctant to use them before...

If I see one more episode of Enterprise that can be summed up with "they came we saw they kicked our ass till we ran away like little school girls" I am going to quite watching this show completely.

No wonder Archer is an unknown in ST history while Kirk is the famous starship captain. All Archer has ever done is get his ass handed to him.

At this point the only way Archer can be saved is if by the end of this season he discovers the current vulcan ambassador to be a enemy spy and guts him with a phaser. That way we will at least know he is a man sporting a pair down there.

About the only thing I can say in favor of this is the fact that being a mine the explosion should be shape charged down into the hull. So they should get hit by very little of the explosion

You are right though. Logically they should have detached the hull section then beamed Mr. Personality the irritating ordinance guy onto the ship. heck beam the entire leg stuck through him as well.

Wow, lots of anti-Enterprise folks in here.

I was entertained by all of the 3 episodes so far in this season. There have been some flaws and plot holes but I don't think they're all that bad. At least they are trying new things and attempting to put a different spin on the Trek mythos.

About the transporter solution: Reed said that the clamp had an arming mechanism in it. So if they beamed him out (which would have included the chunk in his leg) the mine would have gone off. I did think the ending was a little weak, but I've seen worse.

Anywho, it's not my favorite show but I do find it entertaining. :)

Well, my secret to watching Enterprise, is to think of it like the Power Rangers. Yes there are familiar names and costumes, but these are different rangers than those other rangers.

Also, watching the different seasons of Tenchi Muyo helps too.

to be fair ... she didn't know until he was outside playing Mr Fixit. And I'm sure she'll bring it up ... (cuz she's to much of a hottie to space!)

... and yes I'm wondering why they didn't use the transporters yet either ... it worked when they beamed people down to the vulcans religious retreat ... er spy hide out.

And ... I can understand why they're not trying to fight everyone. Kirk had a warship (more or less, Federation heavy cruiser) ... Archer has scout/exploration ship, one that has just been stuck in a minefield which the Romulans know everything about.
