Enterprise 10-02-02

Hmmm, my local WB station must have moved the showing time -- I haven't been able to catch it yet this season. How many episodes have aired?

Three, as of the episode being discussed in this thread.

(There's no proper UPN station where I live, so Enterprise is shown on Sundays; I've only seen the first two episodes. Well, technically, I only half-watched part of the second episode.)

Here in Chicago, we get to watch it on Wednesday at 7pm and rerun on Sunday at 9pm (it's on now.)

to be fair ... she didn't know until he was outside playing Mr Fixit. And I'm sure she'll bring it up ... (cuz she's to much of a hottie to space!)

She mentions that they know of the Romulans but haven't had any direct contact. You might be right, that she will bring it up again at a more appropriate time (privately, and with just Archer around). Would be a shame to space her. :D

... and yes I'm wondering why they didn't use the transporters yet either ... it worked when they beamed people down to the vulcans religious retreat ... er spy hide out.

I think that John Crichton probably has the right of it, with the possibility of the transporters detonating the device, though they should have mentioned this in the episode if that is the case.

And ... I can understand why they're not trying to fight everyone. Kirk had a warship (more or less, Federation heavy cruiser) ... Archer has scout/exploration ship, one that has just been stuck in a minefield which the Romulans know everything about.

They are in a lot of situations where they are out-gunned, so I, too, can see why they aren't trying to throw their weight around. Kirk had a lot of back up to rely on if needed, and not just more Earth ships but a burgeoning federation of planets of which he could be fairly certain he had lots of support.

I am now wondering how far out the Enterprise is from Earth and how close the Romulan Star Empire is supposed to be. Aren't they running into them a little closer to home than they should be?

(edit - time of show on Wednesday)

Thought I would bump this one since it just re-aired last Wednesday and will rerun Sunday evening here in Chicago. :)
