Enterprise 10-09-02

... I'm not ashamed to admit I watched the first 2 season's of Dawson's Creek.

Said Crothian:
Got Borg? I like that.
Thanks, I try. :D
Said Crothian:
I just at some point want to see a fallow up episode.
I couldn't agree more. It would be interesting to see another incarnation of the station or maybe even meet/learn more about the creators.

maybe the station had thoroughly scanned the humans but not T'pol, being that it is mostly an earth ship.

... I missed the preview for the next episode! but never fear I'll either tape it (if I'm working) or watch it

I was kind of glad to see the station repairing itself there at the end. Most other races seemed to like it, and it had fair prices if you just keep your crew together. The station also didn't do anything bad until after the Enterprise crew went out tresspassing.

Lets face it I am surprised the humans are able to put together a federation. Lets see what the Enterprise has been up to. Destroying a very high tech space dock that many people use, blowing up a colony, destroying an ancient vulcan shrine, releasing hundreds of prisoners from a penal planet, and breaking the laws on several planets before leaving. It seems to me that these humans bring nothing but trouble wherever they go. The Vulcans are probably right to try to keep then bottled up. As far as I can tell the only government they have made friends with are the Andorians.

SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!

Considering the amount of other species kinapped there I doubt the station took the transgression against it as free license to basically steal an unwilling sentient being an enslave it.

That station was pure evil, man.

Yeah, many use that station and end up losing a member of the crew to a horrible fate in the process. Ask any of the trapped beings there if they think it's a fair trade...

As far as the Federation goes, its a fantasy that humans would ever be able to accomplish something like that anyway. But it is a possibility given the species ability to adapt, reason and change so quickly. But that's the heart of Star Trek anyway so ya have to live with it if you watch the show. ;)

Actually, we don't know this.

The Tellarites mentioned the station and coordinates, but most of the communication was severely garbled. It's quite possible they said, "We just left this repair station, try it." It's also quite possible they said, "We know you're desperate, but you don't want to go to this repair station."

There is really no plausible way to go from one garbled transmission from one species to the idea that most other races actually like the thing. I'm sorry, but that's an unfounded assertion.

Most of that stuff is Grey Area politics. Enterprise had it's reasons for everything they have done. Also, this is setting up why the Federation and it's rules are needed. I really like how they are doing this.

I understand that they have explanations for everything that has happened, but how much of this is getting out. Yes I probably came off kind of harsh, but they are setting up a PR nightmare. I wish that the show would start spending a little less time with them always getting in the middle of trouble, and maybe every-so-often beginning to forge some of these friendships.

Well, they are only in the beginning of the second season out of what? Hopefully seven? They've got time, I'd say...

well, they've already been to Riiza (sp?), it's just a matter of time 'til other 'next gen' races show up (betazoids, etc.)

John Crichton - have they actually used the term 'Federation'? i haven't seen all the episodes, but i only recall them mentioning star fleet

Umbran - what's to say the station itself didn't send that message? (:D - more creepy-ness!)
