Odd story...

Just got back from Nemesis, and I stopped in a place near my apartment (in the neighborhood) where I ran into this guy named Danny Goldring. Apparently, he is not only in this particular episode, but was in an episode last year and has played a number of characters on Voyager and DS9. Now I am looking forward to it that much more... :)

so how did you know it was him? did you ask? just curious :D (hope your surgery went well :) )

Thaanks. Feeling much better. :)

A mutual friend introduced us after I mentioned that I had just returned from the movie. I spoke with him for fifteen minutes or so and he trotted out his credits for me. Nice fella. I'm sure I will see him around. Maybe next time I will pick his brains for some spoilers, if he has any. :D

Enterprise - The Catwalk

After rescuing a group of stranded aliens, the Enterprise is caught in a perilous ion storm, compelling the crew to retire to the safety of the ship's reinforced---but cramped---catwalk.

I thought this was going to be another boring crew-bonding episode until the alien invaders were revealed. That was a good plot twist, and I wasn't expecting it. A fairly good episode this time.

I hope that we will get to see some new and interesting interior sets for the ship. I think the Hoshi/transporter episode had some nice ones in it... :)

I didn't notice them...I was too busy looking at Hoshi. :)

we got nearly 4 hours to go! ...

a tired plot if I may say so ... how many times did kirk threaten to blow up the enterprise?

So? It still worked in this episode. Besides, it's not like Archer had much of a choice. If he didn't stop the aliens, the whole crew would have ended up getting toasted.

On the whole, an average ep. I did enjoy it. I liked the little things like T'pol interacting with the crew, the doctor's attachment to his creatures, T'pol's bad memory (er, lie) and Malcom's need to bathe.

Here's another interesting tidbit: the crossword puzzle (I'm assuming that's what it was). The crewmember was looking for the answer to "first Vulcan ambassador to Earth, 6 letters, ends in "r"". Archer gives the answer as Solkar. Unless he was a different Solkar (and I doubt it) , that was Spock's great-grandfather (in Star Trek III at the fal-torr-pan ceremony the high priestess refers to Sarek as the child of Skon, the child of Solkar.) Nice reference they worked in there.

I think she's done a very solid job with her character since the first time we saw her on the screen. I'm actually happy with all of the acting. :)
