Enterprise Inconsistancy?

yes - I'm pretty sick of the time travel thing...whenever they can't think of anything new, they add time travel to the equation.

And why do they always send the strangest people out on away missions? Why do they keep sending the chief engineer out on away missions that have nothing to do with him? You would think that they would send the security chief more on those.

Archer has been such a hypocrite lately. He keeps lecturing his peope on not interfering but he's the worse of the lot.

That said, I really do like the series and there are some really good characters in there that I wish they would use more. I'd like to see more with Reeds, Hoshi, Flox, Mayweather, etc...all the others that they don't spend much time on except for one cursory main episode for each of them.

I'd also like the introduction of the other quirky members of the crew like they did in ST:TNG (Barkley the most memorable and amusing). They did have Flox's assistant for a while and she was interesting.

Well, if the away mission, err, landing party require the expertise of an engineer, then Trip will usually be needed. Other than that, Trip tends to volunteer and gain experience from making First Contact. Who knows? He may prefer to fast-track his career into a Captain's Chair.

Blame the writers who are responsible the character's development.

If you mean that recurring female junior officer character, the actress got a full-time gig on FOX's sitcom, The Pitts. (She plays the mother of the accident-prone family.)

Ensign Cutler is her name,
Light up Phloxi like a flame,
Doesn't want him, that's her claim,
Makes him feel Denobu-lame!

Yes, Mark is prone to violent bursts of creative lyric-ing. ;)

Wish I had thought of that "creative lyric" thingy before I set myself on that "mountain" bit. I'd have been a step closer to the top in the yellow pages... :p
