D&D General Entrance Themes!

The only music I ever played during my games was Mortal Kombat for boss fights, and that was during 2e.

Music is too distracting online, and some of us, including me, have hearing loss.

For my urban fantasy set in 1986 London I have used a song to help kick off every adventure. Each song is meant to be a reference to the adventure. I began by playing them at the start of the session. But no-one really bothered to listen. So it's just references.

In order:
Madworld, Tears for Fears
Hungry Like the Wolf, Duran Duran
Temple of Love, The Sisters of Mercy
Alternative Ulster, Sticky Little Fingers
The Old Main Drag, The Pogues
Bela Lugosi's Dead, Bauhaus
You Will Always Find Me in the Kitchen at Parties, Jona Lewie
Waking the Witch, Kate Bush & Avalon, Roxy Music
Caught by the Fuzz, The Buzzcocks & Chain Gang, by The Pretenders
Princes of the Universe, Queen
Road to Nowhere, Talking Heads
Love Missile F1-11, Sigue Sigue Sputnik
Rhiannon, Fleetwood Mac
Fairies Wear Boots, Black Sabbath

I dunno if it's an "entrance theme" per se, but Flight of the Silverbird has always been a favorite of mine for capturing the feeling I aim for with my dragonborn paladin characters.

Lolth/Lolth Cultists/Drow/Etc - Kingdom of the Spiders by Ratbatspider

Zuggtmoy - Pixel Shrooms by Mr.Weebl

Kyuss - The Conqueror Worm by Aurelio Voltaire and Edgar Allan Poe

Well my setting has many wrestling based factions and NPCs.

One of these days I will post my Alternative Alignment: Babyfaces vs Heels variant rules

But I have as my "emergency save the party" rescue group is a bunch of Oath of the Crown paladins who appear to Downstriat's Kingdom like Cody Rhodes. And the crown is held be the Macho King (Oh Yeah) so you know what plays when they got an audience

Anytime I run a monster that just has a Slam attack I hum or quote Onyx's Slam so my friend hates those monsters now.

So simple Slam Monster
Slam- Onyx
Please do. I could see the face-tweener-heel axis vs. the classy-weird-jerk axis

Classy Face: John Cena, Ricky Steamboat, Cody
Classy Tweener: OTC Roman Reigns (he doesn't have to be a jerk, he has Paul Heyman to do it for him).
Classy Heel: Nick Bockwinkel is the classic, but I think MVP does a good job nowadays.
Weird Face: Mark Briscoe or R Truth
Weird Tweener: Harley Cameron
Weird Heel: Jacob Fatu, Shin. Nakamora, Mox
Jerk Face: Stone Cold, LA Knight
Jerk Tweener: The Rock, CM Punk
Jerk Heel: so many to choose from. MJF, Chelsea Green

Sorry for derailing the thread.

My alignments are

Face- Someone the majority of people and gods cheer
Tweener- Someone whose popularity shift depending on opponent and current temperament
Heel- Someone the majority of people and gods jeer

Faces can "Feed off the crowd/gods" to self heal.
Heels can "Dirty Trick" for bonus damage.

Work/Look - Someone who is an examplar of their species' and class's culture
Blur- Someone who blurs their real self into their class and species to make an off brand pairing
Shoot/Real - Someone who is more like a real person and is an unusual character.

So your LG human redemption paladin who focuses on playing evil and saving people is a Work Face. CG elf vengeance paladin/warlock who cheeses off class spells for high damage and splits allegiance between good Oath and nonevil Patron is Shoot Face. Oathbreakers are Heels.

You get Heroic Inspiration if you stick to your alignment and get Triple Inspiration if you Turn.

When that friendly noble backstabs the party...
