D&D General Entrance Themes!

When I had a larger group of players, we would create a pre-game playlist where each player sent me a song that represented their character and situation in the game, and I would choose a song that represented the campaign. Then I would start the playlist when people started showing up before the game and my song was always the last on the playlist (the players could change their song when they wanted to, especially if something significant happened to their character and they had a song that fit well with it). When my song finished, we had agreed that regardless of any out of game talk that was going on at that moment, I was allowed to interrupt and start the session. It worked really well to get the game started, while also allowing for some pre-game chit chat. Sometimes I would allow the current conversation to finish (maybe because that person needed to get some real-world stuff off their chest), and other times I would interrupt mid-sentence (if it was a random anecdote or something like that).

For the first campaign where we did this, I used Carry On My Wayward Son by Kansas (anyone who has watched Supernatural knows why). To this day whenever I hear the last notes of that song, I want to instinctly ask "So what happened last time?".

Edit
Also for Big Damn Heroes I'd use Immortals by Fall Out Boy.

My viking vow of glory paladin's concept theme song was "I'm too sexy".

When they entered a dream realm and could exert a bit of control on the environment his entrance to meeting an oneiromancer was coming in riding a flying hammerhead shark, lightning flashing, with Thunderstruck playing as if he was a Frazetta poster come to life.
