Environmental Series Supplements! What do you want next?

Knightfall

World of Kulan DM
Ok, many of us already have Frostburn and are eagerly awaiting Sandstorm, coming out next year. (Well, I am at least.)

But how many of you know the correlation between the Environmental Series and the D&D Article Series: Far Corners of the World?

Many of the spells that James Jacobs did for the Snow and Ice subarticles now appear in Frostburn. (I'm so happy! A lot of those spells rock!) And I'm sure many of the San and Sun subarticle spells will be in Sandstorm.

So the question is, which of these remaining subarticles do you want to be the next Environmental book after Sandstorm.

* Cathedral of Leaves (Woodlands)
* Fire and Ash (Volcanos; might end up in Sandstorm or combined with Mountains)
* Foundations of Stone (Mountains)
* Mire and Mud (Wetlands)
* The Hidden Depths Below (Underdark; were these put into the FR Underdark book? I don't have it.)
* Toxic Paradise (Rainforest)

Cheers!

I'd like to see the mountains one, and the one on tidal basins/oceans. Honestly, the biggest gap in WotC environmental coverage isn't cold lands or deserts, it's aquatic environments, both above and below the water. I'd prefer they handled that one after Sandstorm before going onto the rest of the Far Corners of the World (which is my favorite series on their site, however).

You know, I'd totally forgotten about the tidal basins/oceans articles. That would be an awsome book. For while I really like the Seafarer's Handbook from FFG, it didn't go far enough. Plus, official rules would be nice.

I also hope that the Environmental Series ends up in the SRD.

I'd love to see a Desert sourcebook, with rules for both the sandy as well as the rocky kinds of deserts, as well as for cultures which dwell in the desert.

Umm, no offense LW23, but did you read the thread? The second book in the Environmental Series is called Sandstorm, which is coming out in 2005. Here is the product information from WotC's website:

Sandstorm
An Environment Series Supplement

Bruce R. Cordell, Jennifer Clarke-Wilkes, JD Wiker

Item Code 177390000
Release Date March 2005
Format Trade Hardcover
Page Count 224
ISBN 0-7869-3655-X
Price $34.95 ; C$49.95

This beautifully illustrated supplement continues a series of releases that focus on how the environment can affect D&D gameplay in every capacity. Sandstorm contains rules on how to adapt to hazardous hot and arid weather conditions, such as navigating desert terrain and surviving in fierce heat or harsh weather. There are expanded rules for environmental hazards and manipulation of hot weather elements, as well as new spells, feats, magic items, and prestige classes. New monsters associated with deserts and wastelands are included, as well as variants on current monsters. Sandstorm provides enough adventure material included for months of gameplay.
