ENWorld Adventure Path: A Modest Proposal

THis is a cool idea -- maybe some of us could contribute NPCs, side treks, or adventure sites as well to flesh out the campaign in addition to adventures -- give the whole thing a "lived-in" feel, where the players can wander from the planned adventure a bit (kind of like the wilderness map from Keep on the Borderlands).

I'm only interested if it's straight core rules D&D, though.

I would be interested. I do not have a lot of time but I do have some available, and I have a few high quality people to assist in my creative endeavors. As far as where to base it make it a generic d20 world and use generous sidebars for campaign specific customisation: Eberron, Greyhawk, and Forgotten Realms, as well as adding scaleability.

I can do small to medium stuff and I am more than happy to cooberate with someone on something.

Any interest in this? And what sort of setting for an ENWorld Adventure Path theme might appeal to you?

I would like to contribute as well

I would prefer fantasy gaming to SF.

I think it would work best to choose a common cultural theme (such as gypsies) which can be added to a variety of settings

If we did fantasy, here are some of the typcial adventure paths that could be done:

Use/Destroy and item - the party set out to track down and own/destroy a powerful artifact. Could range over a realative small to continental area. Could use a variety of dungeon types from typcial dungeon crawl to intense role play. Perhaps even various paths usign various styles. End item could be left as a McGuffin and could be tailored to any type of party (good, evil, elven, etc.). eg. quest for the Rod of Seven Parts

Assault on a place - party sets out to clear out a single complex. All take splace in a realativly small area with little travel. Tends towards basic dungeon crawl. eg. Temple of Elemental Evil

Attack the Enemy - party finds itself against an increasingly dangerous enemy that needs to be destroyed. Can range over a wide or small area with various adventure types. Adventure may or may not appeal to people depending on what the enemy is (Not Drow again!). eg. GDQ series
