mrlost is going to be running his extremely fun epic-level D&D game again soon, wherein we take on the roles of mind flayer overlords sent by Ilsensine to the world of Oerth (Greyhawk) to take it over completely. We've landed (via spelljammer) in an area known as the "Caves of Chaos," which is apparently on the borderlands of some humanoid kingdom or other. mrlost has hinted at possible threats including: High-level githyanki raiders (we pissed some off in the Astral last game by blowing up one of their outlying astral fortresses and dragon riders), mid-level versions of the iconic D&D characters, and several Greyhawk named NPC Wizards, such as Mordenkainen.
Characters are built on a 32 point-buy, and start out as Mind Flayers (psionic). You then add 20 Class Levels (or equivelant), making the final characters ECL 35. He's likely going to be importing Action Points from Eberron.
My original character was a Master Vampire Psion (Telepath), however I lost the character sheet and it wasn't very well-constructed to begin with due to unfamiliarity with D&D in general and high-level D&D in specific. I've decided to build a new one, or rebuild the old one more efficiently.
My current idea is to make the most out of the mind flayer's 9th level Psion manifester level by taking all 20 CLs in Psion (Shaper), which seems to be the most fun / interesting discipline to me.
So I'm asking for help on making / optimizing this epic level monstrosity, since I know ENWorld has the most talented bunch of D&D character builders on the planet.
I've done some preliminary work, and this is what I've got so far (utilizing the javascript character generator available here.) Obviously I haven't selected powers or gear, yet. Those are probably the hardest parts of such a character. I also need to build its psicrystal and cohort. For the cohort, I was thinking of having a psionic artificer, possibly a duergar.
