Need some help pricing a suit of epic armor. Don't know why but the tables are confusing me.
Table here--> http://www.d20srd.org/srd/epic/magicItems/armor.htm
(Following is discounting material costs)

If I wanted +7 full plate with the ghost touch(+3) and soulfire (+4) abilities would it be:

490,000+490,000=980,000

or

490,000+9,000+16,000=515,000

This is the section that's giving me problems

Epic Armor And Shield Base Price

To find the base price of an epic suit of magic armor or an epic magic shield, roll on Table: Armor and Shields. Note that the +6 to +10 rows apply only to armor and shields that provide an enhancement bonus of +6 to +10 or armor and shields with a single special ability whose market price modifier is +6 to +10. Magic armor and shields with a total effective bonus of +6 to +10 but that have an enhancement bonus of +5 or less and special abilities whose individual market price modifiers are +5 or less use the table for nonepic magic armor to determine price.

That seems to say add the special abilities separately, but it just doesn't seem right.

You need to check out the Epic Armor and Shields table.

The price for the suit of armor is question is equal to the cost of MW Full Plate plus the total modifier (armor enhancement plus the market price modifier of each special ability).

For the item you want the market price would be 1,961,650 gp.

Hmm, maybe it was the part about breaking the item costs up that was throwing me off.

So what about +7 armor with +3 worth of abilities?

(I'm sure I'm chiming in late here, but what the hey.)

Basically, it means that armor/shields use the epic pricing tables IF:

The item's enhancement bonus is +6 or greater; OR

The item has an ability with a +6 or greater market bonus; OR

The item's total market value (enhancement bonus and additional abilities) totals +11 or more.

Armor/shields use the non-epic pricing tables IF:

The item has an enhancement bonus of +1 to +5; AND/OR

The item's total market value (enhancement bonus and additional abilities) totals +10 or less (but only if the enhancement bonus is +5 or less also).

If you still find all that confusing, you could just try this system instead.
