"Epic Poison"

Hi there,

im playing in a epic Campaign (ECL of the chars is around 55) and we thought about implementing a Class Ability / Epic Feat for assassins called "Epic Poison".
Its supposed to be comparable with Epic Spellcasting, at least a bit. We want the characters to be able to make up a desired Poison Effect, which has to be somehow physical and "realistic" of course, and set a Craft DC and Save DC for it. It should not be something like "x Ability Score Damage", that wouldnt be the problem to create but its too boring :)

The Stuff i think about would be for example a Poison that targets the mind of your enemy, making him attacking his friends instead of you. Or something that lowers Spell Resistance, increases Damage Taken, whatever..

Did anybody ever create such a system, do you have good ideas how to estimate the DCs for that, since players could come up with something weird every time we play... And do you have some ideas what to create? :)

Thx in advance

WoTC in an epic article on their site (Epic Insights I think it was) Spelled out some specific epic poisons. Nasty ones too.
You could make an epic poison crafting skill I guess. I have seen rules a few suppliments (3rd party, name escapes me) for creating poisons, with each factor adding to the craft DC.
Perhaps the basis for an epic poison crafting system (or a poison crafting system in general) is to use Modified epic spell seeds similar to the effect you want. Need a poison that eats the foes soul? Use "Slay."
Since a staple of poisons in D20 is paying for them "per dose" I would suggest a price of 90gp X Final DC. (Since epic spellcasting is 9000 x DC, and an epic spell is possibly usable "at will" and at will is generally priced about 50 to 100 times higher than a single use effect, I went with 1/100th of the cost)
Perhaps new base seeds need to be written for this, Since poisons generally do ammounts expressed in dice of ability damage, and the current epic system isn't very good at that. (Set amounts are pretty lame)
