Epic Spell Casting Times

Some epic spells have strange casting times.

100 days, 11 minutes
41 days, 11 minutes
45 days, 11 minutes
65 days, 11 minutes

Why? Yeah, they could make the casting time long, but why these strange numbers? Why +11 minutes?

What's the story?

You build an epic spell using seeds and adding factors. Each seed and factor has a DC, and you add the DCs to get the spellcraft DC for the final spell. Some of the factors are mitigating factors- they lower the final DC. One common mitigating factor is increased casting time. You can increase the casting time by 1 minute for a certain reduction; this can be taken up to 10 times (for a casting time of 11 minutes). To get a further reduction you have to increase the casting time by 1 or more days (to a maximum of 100 days).

That's why the casting time is in days + 11 minutes.

It's a clunky system- I'd avoid it if I were you.
