Alright, well, if the mage is watching you, no method you have reveals anything of that essense. You don't hear any footsteps travelling the path that the living mage has taken, however, the more you wait, the more you feel like something bad is going to happen in this room. As a matter of fact, you already detect that motion is going through the room, but what kind and where is completely unknown. The figure in motion may simply be the air, but it seems rather dangerous. The same kind of creepy chill someone would get before a wraith, nighshade, or worse would creep up on them...

You enter into the hidden hallway, facing a deep wooden door, that doesn't appear to have been moved anytime recently. The hallway creeps a bit northward, into a large brick wall with a few words in old-common written on them, "Forbode the Reflection of Mephisto's Durance, The Dead Raise When You Leave Them The Chance, Purging and Burning the Body and Soul is the Only Cure."

Below is a strange circle, on your left hand side.

Malibeem checks to make sure he has fire to burn something...because that writing makes him more than a little nervous. He looks at the wall through his gem to see if he has missed something, and if not he will head back to the heavy wooden door and proceed to open it (after first checking for traps, of course)

William continues advancing, moving for the next corner. I have a bad feeling about this, brother.. We'ld best stay cautious.

OOC: I'll continue advancing slowly and cautiously until I notice something strange, or something changes.

"i agree with you, things are a little strange arounde here"

sniper will contine after his brother but still wating out backs.

As you find yourself wandering around this dungeon, you find that the walls in different corridors are made of metals and stones of unfamiliar colors and textures. Some of the stone is similar to sandstone, while others seem more like black ruby, but with the sheen of metal.

As you wind around many oddly ghostly sounding paths, you find a dead end, and turn back to take the next route. You follow this path, until it leads you up to a 15 foot tall opaque black slate, which has a handle on the bottom, that appears to function as a lift for the door. If you need an association, this handle is similar to a garage door.

(I made some assumptions here, if you don't like it, just tell me what you would rather have done.)

Veit looks at the insects, admiring their hard working.
He then moves along the passage to the door. When he gets there he listens through it.

The doorway isn't all that good for listening purposes, but you do find it easy to acknowledge that the metal stomping (of a very large nature) is coming from the room, in the general area of the large red sphere on the map. This seems to be the center, before you consider any possible sound deflection or echoes from above or below.

Rhazael flies up to find out if he can open the door from the top without knocking, if he can't he'll lower himself and, still flying, he'll knock with resolution.
You are not able to open the door normally, however, after your knocking, the strangest pair of individuals easily reach the handle and turn it to unlock it, then lower the door into position. They allow you to enter into their room. The two, a giant, extremely heavily armored, man-shaped construct made of pure iron, and a very feminine looking almost golden armored humanoid appears. It bears a rapier, and seems to be quite intelligent when it greats you.

"Hi."

And then it turns to the huge guardian to it's left and smiles with her metal face.

"What brings you?"

The female stairs out at you as if you are guests, and looking at the room they dwell in, it seems quite inviting. This room is solidly occupied by a series of everburning torches on the walls, and with innumerable couches and rugs layered about. It would be extremely difficult to perform combat in a living room like this.

Hrm...

The next room is covered with cryptic arcane texts, series of runes, phrases in old common linguistics, and you can identify the presence of invisible creatures moving objects and patterns on the walls constantly. Looking back at the previous room, you may notice that the body of the mage is now, literally, on fire of it's own right.

...

Who in their right mind would place a door in our way? Come on, we'll enter together. William shakes his head as he waits for his brother to catch up, and examines the door (True sight+Detect magic always on)

"Hmmm, nice place you have here. Oh, I believe we were invited to tour this establishment. The doormen were a bit lacking in manners, but you two appear to be perfectly fine hosts. " Rearden says as we keeps a careful eye on the metal guardians.

Mali is now torn... Do I follow the mage's path and risk the wrath that was unleashed on someone else, or navigate this room...

with that, Mali takes a close look to make sure that none of the symbols look like a type of trap...after all that scar on his left arm was a small but important reminder that he got careless on one ocassion with a mage lurking about, and it almost cost him his life.. what was that mage's name...

Mali looks for other exits in the symbol covered room and begins to notice any patterns in the movement of glyphs or creatures. If there is another exit he will make a path toward that exit circumnavigating as many suspicious symbols/creatures as possible.
