Equipping Improved Familiars

Quidam

First Post
If you have an improved familiar that is capable of wearing and wielding items- one that is humanoid, like a mephit- would it be possible to do so? I know the effects wouldn't overlap in either direction, but it'd be a nice way to protect the familiar...

You can equip a Familiar with any resonable item. Most can wear rings and necklaces. A Mephit could probably wear anything you could, with minor alterations. A permanent Reduce would be enough in most cases.

MotW also has creature specific items.

Tome & Blood gives examples of alternate items that a Familiar could wear in place of the normal equipment. Some of it wouldn't require different equipment.

Look in the section that talks about Familiars.
