D&D 5E Errata for MM & DMG?

Ok. Yes, they rewrote the section on scrolls on page 139.
SCROLLS
The most prevalent type of scroll is the spell scroll, a spell stored in written form, but some scrolls, like the scroll of protection, bear an incantation that isn't a spell. Whatever its contents, a scroll is a roll of paper, sometimes attached to wooden rods, and typically kept safe in a tube of ivory, jade, leather, metal, or wood.
A scroll is a consumable magic item. Unleashing the magic in a scroll requires using an action to read the scroll. When it's magic has been invoked, the scroll can't be used again. It's words fade, or it crumbles into dust.
Unless a scroll's description says otherwise, any creature that can understand a written language can read the script on a scroll and attempt to activate it.

Another change I have found, also involving magic, is on page 129, under Crafting a Magic Item. In the first sentence under the Crafting Magic Items table (change marked by my bold):
An item has a creation cost specified in the Crafting Magic Items table (half that cost for a consumable, such as a potion or scroll).

Magic Weapon

Her is another one. On page 140, under Weapons (top of page, column 2) they added the following paragraph:
If a magic weapon has the ammunition property, ammunition fired fired from it is considered magical for the purpose of overcoming resistance and immunity to non-magical attacks and damage.

I'm hoping they'll fix the otyugh. As written, once the otyugh starts slamming you against the walls and floor, you're done for unless your allies can kill it.

That's because Tentacle Slam makes those grappled by the otyugh roll a Strength save or take damage and be stunned until the end of the otyugh's next turn. Stunned characters automatically fail Strength saves, so next turn you just take the damage and get stunned for another round. The effects of Tentacle Slam should instead last until the start of its next turn.

In the corrected book, the Tentacle Slam has not been changed. The slam still stuns the victim, which lasts until the end of otyugh's next turn, and it still requires a strength save.

I think that is the intention, since said otyugh can't actually get that stun-lock going on an entire typical-size party at once, and has to have a whole bunch of rolls go in its favor to get to the first stun. It has to:

1) Hit you with the attack roll for a tentacle attack.
2-?) Not have you succeed at your at least 1 chance of escaping the grapple before it's next turn, plus the ? element of not having either you or it moved so that you are no longer in it's reach and thus no longer grappled by anyone/anything else around.
3-?) Choose to go for the tentacle slam on you rather than try and get it's other tentacle grabbing someone, biting someone, and just using the tentacle grabbing you to attack you normally with it.
4-?) Have you fail the strength save when it uses the tentacle slam.

It is really very impractical for the Otyugh to slam anyone even once if the party is trying at all to prevent the slam-fest you are worried about.

Actually, the otyugh cannot opt to Tentacle Slam instead of bite. His muliattack gives him 3 attacks:
one with its bite, and two with its tentacles.
He cannot make 3 attacks with the tentacles.

I didn't say it could.

I said it had two choices: 1) go for the tentacle slam on you; 2) try and get it's other tentacle grabbing someone, biting someone, and just using the tentacle grabbing you to attack you normally with it.

Possibly, but there are very few effects in the game that crowd-control you without giving you a chance at a comeback. Even a high-level spell like power word: stun gives you a save each round to break it - not to avoid it in the first place, but in order to get out.

True. That has nothing to do with the otyugh's tentacle slam attack, though, since it gives a variety of chances to either not be affected by it or recover from its effect once it is in place.
